According to <a href="https://steemit.com/faq.html">the FAQ</a>, 'it is free to post, comment, and vote on steemit.com. You might even get paid for it!'

But new Steemit users might be confused when they type up a comment, only to be met with this popup:

<i>'Your comment failed to process. Why? You ran out of Resource Credits! Actions place a real cost on those who run the blockchain. RCs are allocated to users based on their Steem Power, and when you run low, your actions are blocked. To interact on Steemit, either wait for your RCs to recharge, or BUY STEEM.'</i>

This is supposed to stop spam, which is a noble cause, but ends up being more like censorship, which is reprehensible. Many users who have been posting quality content here for months, now get this popup if they attempt to post (or comment) more than once every 2 days! They are almost completely locked out of using the site simply because they haven't bought enough Steem! And people with even less, can't interact at all.

If this is how Steemit is going to be from now on, let's not pretend it's "free to post, comment, and vote" here.

<h4>Please fix the stupid RC system (or get rid of it), and please update the FAQ. </h4>

It DOES cost to post, comment, and vote on Steemit. Just see how far you get here with no Steem (and therefore no RCs)!
