<center>**CURATION REPORT #12 for @R2CORNELL'S DISCORD COMMUNITY**</center>

Welcome to the curation report #12 for the Discord Community of @r2cornell.  Our membership has not changed much since last weekend.  We now are at 474 members.  We curated 168 publications through the time of finalizing this report.

I have discussed in previous reports that we try to curate most publication that we find the link in our post promotion channel.  In the event you feel your publication has been missed for curation feel free to send me a Private Message.  I have directed curators that those Actifit publication that do not have a good narrative and/or photographs that they should not curate.   Periodically someone may leave a link to their publication and only have a photograph or two with little to no discussion.  They too may be overlooked.  I have stated before that we cannot list every publication  in this report.  There are so many excellent posts that do not get listed here, yet they get an equal up-vote by curators.    I make my selection by the quality of the publication, but also trying to help those with little exposure get noticed by others.  You should go through our Post Promotion channels and support some of your favorite.

Recently there has been a big trend of down-voting.  Last weeks report experienced the same thing.  It had minimal impact on Steem earnings and even less on NEOXAG  and the other tokens.   One of the biggest culprits is doing it to those who get up-votes from (SBI) Steembasicincome.  I had all my units transferred from a different alt account to  @dsc-r2cornell to help increase Steem earnings.  In time I will delegate NEOXAG to SBI for the same purpose.

The culprit who is down-voted those who get up-voted by SBI actually holds some SBI units.  I was also told that the person behind it had own a bid-bot service and I would imagine he went out of business when the last HF took place.  Then there are many accounts created for the purpose of down-voting.  Most have no power and are like a mosquito bothering you when you are trying to go to sleep.

In the 2.75 years on Steemit I have seen all types of false crusaders.   We must all support each other and stay positive, without giving up.  I try and counter vote someone who has been down-voted just because they use SBI.    I was very upset last weekend because of the down-votes.  Since much reflection I am basically ignoring it and moving forward with the Curation Project, and my personal blog.

I am not sure what they were thinking when they added this down-voting feature to the HF.     I believe it is Witnesses that vote on the changes.   I am very careful on who I add to my selected Witness list and I remove my vote for a Witness when necessary.

Tuvo un impacto mínimo en las ganancias de Steem y aún menos en NEOXAG y los otros tokens.   Uno de los mayores culpables es hacerlo a aquellos que obtienen votos de los ingresos de Steembasic (SBI).  Hice transferir todas mis unidades de una cuenta alt diferente a @dsc-r2cornell para ayudar a aumentar las ganancias de Steem.  Con el tiempo, delegaré el NEOXAG en el OSE para el mismo propósito.*

>*En los 2,75 años de Steemit he visto todo tipo de falsos cruzados.   Todos debemos apoyarnos unos a otros y mantenernos positivos, sin rendirnos.  Intento contrarrestar el voto de alguien que ha sido "down-voted" sólo porque utiliza "SBI".    El fin de semana pasado estuve muy molesto por los "votos en contra".  Después de mucha reflexión, básicamente lo estoy ignorando y estoy avanzando con el Proyecto de Curaduría y mi blog personal.*

>*No estoy seguro de lo que estaban pensando cuando añadieron esta función de votación a la HF.     Creo que son los Testigos los que votan sobre los cambios.   Soy muy cuidadoso en cuanto a quién agrego a mi lista de Testigos seleccionados y retiro mi voto por un Testigo cuando es necesario.*

It is not too often I have the same author listed twice in the highlighted section.  I did not even realize it until I got to this point in the report.  I have been working on this report for a few days.  I focus on the content and not the author.   In this case the wonderful bright red color of these flower caught my attention.  Enjoy these great photos.

I continue to have some formatting issues, but have not had the time to research it the problems.  

That brings us to a close for this publication.  In case you missed it earlier in this publication, this week we curated 168 publications.  I greatly appreciate all who submitted their links in the post promotion channels.  We try and let our Steem Power increase after it hits around 80%.  The "tokens" stay stronger when voting,  but  Steem Power is important in this process.

Remember  that even if your publication is not listed in these reports, we still try and cure all publications left in our post promotion channels.  There are so many quality posts that do not get into the report.  The reader can find the full list of posts in the community's post-promotion channels and strongly encouraged to check out more wonderful publications.

Thank you all very much for your support in the project.   We all appreciate your activity in our community.  And, thank you for sharing some wonderful publications.   Remember, I am trying to up-vote comments through @r2cornell to save our voting power at @dsc-r2cornell.   I do not reply to comments but hopefully you understand that my voting on your comment I am saying *"thank you very much"*.  In the event you have submitted a post or two and they have not been curated let me know through Private Message on Discord and I will check into it.

I think there may have been a slow-down in placing links in the  post promotion channels because of all the down-voting.  Thus far I have only received 1 down-vote on my weekend post that was published yesterday, and it was for zero.  There has been a large backlash against these people.   I am removing my vote for Witnesses that I hear have supported this particular change.    I am looking for information on those that were against it and they will get my vote.  Adapting to the other changes of the HF has been okay, but this one is too wide open for abuse, and it hurts the smaller stakeholders more.
