<center>*I spy the Virginia Creeper crawling up the tree. It is in the wooded section of the neighborhood and has all this "tree bark fungus" on it. I have read that it is not harmful and is an all-natural organism... but, it looks a tad atrocious. I have seen many trees in the area that carry around the fungus on their bark and no matter how many times I read it, I cannot look at it as an all-natural organism. Perfectly beautiful isn't necessarily perfect and has nothing to do with accepting imperfection. Perhaps imperfection is the point.</center>*

We love our trees, don't we? I think I have been a treehugger before it was a thing... Maybe not. I guess it has been around a long time. Darn hippies.  :))

My neighborhood is very much like a park. It is also very much nice to walk there and I use it for my daily walks on a normal basis. I know that I am very fortunate to live in such a place. The reason for moving was work, nothing else. I don't usually select the location, it selects me.  :)

One of the biggest reasons that I like this neighborhood is that it is insulated from the regular traffic involved with living in the area. The only people that you will find in the neighborhood are people that live here as all roads inside these walls lead to nowhere. It makes it a much more peaceful existance, although some people wouldn't like it.

The fact that you live like on an island, isolated from traffic, is the greatest benefit. I thought you were moving because of the service but I think you can hardly find a place like this.

I get along so much better with tree huggers than the neighbor lady with claw marks up and down her arms, bumper sticker on her caTillac that says **Catitarious** and reeks of a cat box. Flies don't follow tree huggers. 😘

That rain came through here last night, too. I couldn't see out the window for about 15 minutes, just a wall of water.

Bet you didn't know your tree Tuesday is DanDays' birthday and you and I just enjoyed a celebration together.

I can only hope! It will definitely hit us, but, we will see how hard. I am more worried about the house on the Shore right now and will probably go out there tonight to make sure I don't have to bail it out.  ;))

But, it has been here since 1869, so I am pretty sure it has a couple of hundred storms under her belt. She will be fine. In any case, it will be a brief passing through, as these things usually are. 

Hope all is well with you and I need to get on it and make time to read, seems like I don't get enough time to do anything except schedule a post and hope for the best. Times will be kinder soon.  :) I guess it can't get much busier, so there is that.

Haha!! Yes! I think that being a New Englander, we found lots and lots of Poison Ivy in the woods. It wasn't nearly as prolific in the Western US (for me anyway) You already found some at the new house? I cannot believe I haven't checked you out, thought you were still in transition somewhere, and my feed doesn't feed me properly. Or I don't use it well. 

I will have to make time today. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes, we just got here last week. Only made a couple posts, so you're not far behind! Already found some (a lot) of apple trees, some deer, and found some bear scat last night. Love being in the woods! Check out my other post earlier this week for the deer pic and backyard view. We're just starting to see a hint of color change in the leaves. Can't wait for the dramatic change that I'm sure will come fast in the next few weeks. Not in a hurry for winter, but I do love the fall.

Good morning, JJ! @tattoodjay  I do love trees, a treehugger from way back, but, pine trees are really one of my favorites, and not for the obvious "Christmas Tree" thing, although, that really doesn't hurt one bit to be tied to Christmas in any way!

Pines are glorious. 

I used to lay on a blanket with my mom or one of my siblings and we would find shapes in the skies and point them out to each other. What a wonderful life. Always. Now, I want to take my blanket outside right now.  :)

I've rarely met a tree that I didn't like, even with creepy and growing things on it. Down south, of course, they still have kudzu, and though it's definitely an invasive vine and covers the trees, the locals have been able to make jams and jellies out of its berries. Apparently it's not toxic!
