#### While everybody is obsessed with flowers since spring began, there are only cacti in my minds.
# Did you know that, if you want to see some flowers on your cactus in spring, then it will need some winter sleep? 
That means that you should take it in your house and keep it dry, without watering and without direct sunlight. One of my friends has a large, rounded cactus but, during the winter, he left it outside in the pot. And cactus became to be sick. It reduced it's size a lot and now it is just few centimeters above the pot. Check the photo:

# I asked my friend if I could take the cutting to try save some clones of this cactus.
So I took my scalpel with me and took three samples. Two smaller and one just a little bit larger than the first two.

# I put some ashes of the wood on the larger sample and placed it on dark and dry place for few days.

# GRAFTING

#### I decided to plant two smaller samples on the other cactus. That procedure is called GRAFTING. Many people use alcohol and some rooting triggers, but I do it without it.  Well, I use some alcohol to clean my scalpel and that's it! This is my second time of grafting the cactus. I did it first time two years ago and I was successful. 
## The cactus that will be planted on other cactus is called scion.
And I have two scions here, the little ones and they will be planted on the other cactus.
## New mom of these scions is called the root stock!
That will be the bottom of a new cactus. So, I chose this one:

# Gently but strongly I tied the small cuttings on the cut on the main cactus. 
### This will have to be tied next 10 days, until these small cuttings doesn't merge with the rooting stock!
