why has it gone from, like
the phone ringing
and us throwing out a hip/almost 
killing a sibling in the rush to get to it
and now
someone sends us a message
and it'll sit on read for,2,3 weeks?

surely our lives arent that busy ( binge watching a series )
to, like, be available.
why is it now, we only pick up the phone, to ring someone, when our lives are falling apart?
and why is it we have so few friends that we engage with on the regular?
why, is it not in our nature these days, just to catch up
to call our quiet friends. ask how they are.

for so long i thought it was only me that wasnt 'getting the messgaes'
that perhaps i was still the black sheep of the family?
but its not just family.
its everyone.

started writing this based on the phonecall from a friend, which started 2 hrs agoo.

at what point do i cut off their vent, to have my own?

but i dont mind. i like to listen. i know that sometimes, just the illusion that someone is listening

its amazing how much hs happened in the year or so since we spoke.
i much preferr to listen, than type
unless its of dire importance, that needs to be recalled.
anyways, just a quick rant. i was hoping to use the conversation im in, to make points on this post, but it became about family stuff, which isnt really divulgable.

basic gist is, my friend is 54
her 29? daughter is going through #domestic-violence from her partner.
BUT 
the MOTHER got accused of it,
so that the daughter could get out of her lease
like, wtaf?
