hehehe yes - 

but - one thing... tags are neat, but - they aren't as used as they used to be really.  

unfortunate... but true.  doesn't mean you should stop using them!   because some still do use them

but they just aren't as important anymore

however - you're right - the first tag is actually not able to be changed once it's set.  you can see that it actually becomes part of the URL to your post.

you used "steemit" as the first tag, and - look at your URL  its before your name.
 
You can also create your own tag - and start using it... that way - if people want to follow all of the posts that you have under a certain subject - they can find them in one place 

they can also find them in your blog - but that will be in chronological order and ALL your posts.  takes time to fish through.

but say you created "dutyboundtips"   and you did a steemittip once a week...
then if someone clicked on the tag at the bottom of your latest tip post - they could see ALL the posts in that one place :)

so they can be cool!  :)
