#### How did the Week of December 20-27, 2017 Behave for The Steemit Top Ten Tags?
Greetings! I am humble to share these new sets of data to you guys and I am very glad to say that Steemit showing an impeccable growth! especially to the activities of the Steemit Top Ten Tags.
So with this analysis, I gathered the data with Posts, Votes, and Comments under the Steemit Top Ten Tags and be able to compare it with the last sets of data (December 12-19). And with that we can witness the trend and further visualize the behavior including forecasting /predicting the next set of data for next week.
### Details of the Analysis
* Data were extracted using @arcange's Steem SQL at January 3, 2018 at 10:32 p.m. (UTC+8)
* The analysis focuses only the number of posts, votes, and comments (December 20-27, 2017) out from the Steemit Top Ten Tags and make some analysis comparing the results from previous week (December 12-19, 2017)
* Table, Bar and Pie Graph Presentations are included for a better understanding of the analysis
* The Steemit Top Ten Tags are the main focus of this analysis ( #life, #photography, #steemit, #bitcoin, #art, #kr, #introduceyourself, #blog, #travel, #steem )

> The trend shows that there is a significant increase in the **Total number of Posts**, **Votes**, and **Comments**. As a result, the data above shows that the ranking of Steemit Top Ten Tags has changed with respect to the total number of posts which results to a new set of Top Ten Tags.

### Weekly Total Number of Posts
Looking at the consolidated data of weekly posts gathered from the top ten tags, the Tag #Steemit has one of the highest % increase garnering **35.15%** compared to its previous week which is generally an understandable trend due to an increase number of account sign-ups.
The interesting part of this trend was the tag #steem, having a 21.41% increase. This is mainly influenced by a sudden Pump of Sbd and Steems market price, making the Steemit community diverge their attention to Steem related articles. As a result, it jumped from **10th to 8th** rank of Steemit tags. We can see that on the chart below.

> Based on the data the 54% value in total number of posts in the recent week of December 20-27 shows a dominant percentage within the scope of our analysis which means that in the scope of December 20-27 and December 12-19 exhibits an increasing 17.80% increase in total number of posts
### Weekly Total Number of Votes
In the weekly total number of votes, the #steemit tag exhibit an outstanding value of **18.01% increase** which gains the highest number of votes compared to its previous weeks. Due to the trend and influence by a sudden pump of Steem and SBD market price many of the Steemit community tend to spend a lot of votes under the tag #steemit

> The Total Number of Votes is doing great too which means that there's an increasing exchange of upvotes from different users. And with that the number of votes increases up to 11.04% than of December 12-19, 2017
### Weekly Total Number of Comments
While in the weekly total number of comments, the tag #steemit exhibits a 30.57% increase compared to its previous weeks, Due to the hype of Steem and SBD Steemians tends to make more engagements in the Steemit Blockchain which contributes a positive gain amount of total number of comments

> In this part we can see that engagements between Steemians also increases that means the total number of comments increases up to 25.68% than the previous weeks of December 12-19.
### Data Comparison
So to further analyze the gathered data , We must compare it to the set of datas from the previous week(December 12-19) and determine the %increase/decrease in number of posts, votes, and comments under the Steemit Top Ten Tags
To analyze the changes I used this method:

> From the #art tag I can spot more engagements which results to a %increase of total number of comments than its previous week and aside from that the #bitcoin tag shows almost equal %increase in total number of posts and comments.

> For the #introduceyourself tag we can see an active %increase of total number of posts than the total number of votes, and comments from its previous week. But then all it display a positive %increase of total number of posts, votes, and comments

> One of my favorite part here is that the #steem tag shows positive %increase in total number of posts, votes, and comments and good thing about it is that the posts and comments shows almost the same behavior resulting with a close range of %increase from its previous week
### Data Implications
On these weeks of December 20-27, 2017 exhibits an increasing number of Posts, Votes, and Comments which means that in [my previous post](https://utopian.io/utopian-io/@dwaeji-aizelle/steemit-top-ten-tags-behavior-analysis-witnessing-how-steemit-s-top-10-tags-behave) coincides with my predictions that if the SBD and Steem continues to increase its value the activity or the behavior of the Top Ten Tags will also increases. This is to maximize and also to take advantage of the SBD pump.
Overall, what I have noticed is that during the pump of SBD the total number of posts, votes, and comments dramatically increases which pertains a positive %increase in posts, votes, and comments than the previous week.

With both pumping up of Steem and SBD, I can see that the ranking of Steemit Top Ten Tags changes, one of which is the rank of #steem, In my previous post the rank of #steem was in number 10, Because of the pump in Steem my intuition to this is that the number of posts under the tag of #steem also increases which cause it to rank 8th place and with the increase value of steem the value of votes also increases due to the relationship of Steem value and Steem Power.
Aside from the changes of ranking in Steemit Tags, There is also changes in number of posts, votes, and comments, A %increase in all aspects(Posts, Votes, Comments) which is a good sign for the platform Steemit.

### My Thoughts and Vision
It feels really great as a Steemian especially for the opening of January year of 2018 wherein both currencies of Steemit particularly the SBD and Steem goes with an all time high record, And with that making most of the individuals tend to be more productive.
For me this is a good sign knowing that **SMT** hasn't launched yet, There might be even more surprising waiting for the future of Steem and SBD.
