In my previous post, I discussed bad habits and how difficult it can be to let go of them to change and become a better version of ourselves. Many of our bad habits are deeply ingrained in our lifestyle, and we often shape our happiness, social circle, and environment around them. For example, I have a friend who is very passionate about clubbing. Whenever he visits my area, he expresses disappointment at being unable to go out at night. He often tells me that he could never live in a place like mine because it deprives him of what he loves most.

In order to break our bad habits, we often need to change the environment we're in or reconsider the beliefs we've grown up with. For example, if someone is a heavy drinker, they likely have a group of friends who also drink heavily and make them feel comfortable doing so. It's difficult to quit drinking if those around you encourage or enable that behavior, it is always hard to keep friends that don't do the things you do. This is why breaking bad habits often requires us to not only stop the behavior ourselves but also to distance ourselves from the people and situations that enable it.

Many people struggle to give up their bad habits because they have built their lives around them. This is similar to the concept in a Bible passage that asks, "How can you stop sin when you live in it?" It can be difficult to let go of something when we are constantly reminded of it, as these reminders can serve as triggers. Often, people are not even aware of their triggers, making it harder for them to identify and address them. Sometimes we have to think to identify this problem.


Who are the groups of friends that you accommodate that allow you to drink heavily? At what time of the day you are normally lonely that makes you masturbate? These are the questions we should be asking ourselves if we are willing to let go of our habit. There will always be a trigger to it if it is very difficult to give up. It might mean you give up your long-term friendships but at least it gives you what you wanted which is to be free and live a better life and if you can't find your triggers it will be difficult to win this war.

Quitting all of our bad habits means we are choosing a new environment, changing our friends, and choosing a better life. This may not be easy because you are disappointing so many people by turning them but this is the sacrifice you must be willing to make. we must start our journey to let go of our bad habits by dealing with triggers and most people are stuck with their bad habits it is difficult for them to deal with their triggers. This is one of the ways we can deal with it.

That is one good way to change a habit. I agree that it's hard to change when your friends are also doing it. So a change of scenery will help for sure.
