I recently wrote a paper for my college writing course about why the flu shot is more harmful than the actual flu itself. Although I have to make this disclaimer. I am not a doctor or nurse. I am not qualified to give advice with anything with a prescription. Please consult with your physician regarding any health advice that is given. This advice is intended to be taken to the physician.

Also I used only government scientific documents to support my claim so this article does not sound like just a conspiracy theory.

Introduction to Influenza Vaccines

Influenza vaccines are a type of vaccination that are supposed to protect against the flu and there are millions of people getting these vaccinations in the US every year. Also, scientists have to predict which flu virus will be the worst that coming year, and then create a new flu vaccine to combat it. This is very hard for scientists to do because there are 300 different types of flu viruses. Many people believe that they will not get the flu if they get a vaccination for it, but these people could be putting their bodies at risk as well. These flu shots are very dangerous because they contain many harmful chemicals such as formaldehyde, mercury, aluminum and monosodium glutamine(MSG). These substances can cause harmful side effects that are more harmful than the flu itself.

CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) Admits Putting These Ingredients Into Flu Vaccines

These ingredients in flu vaccines include thimerosal which is a compound of mercury and aluminum, egg proteins, formaldehyde, and monosodium glutamine (MSG). Formaldehyde is carcinogen found in cigarettes and can cause skin, eyes, and throat irritation. Also high levels of exposure may cause some types of cancers. Egg proteins may also cause allergic  reactions especially to someone who is allergic to eggs. All of these ingredients may be harmful but the most dangerous one is thimerosal. It is a mercury- containing preservative that is added to vials of vaccines that contain more than one dose. The CDC claims it is to prevent contamination and growth of potentially harmful bacteria

What Is Thimerosal and Why Is It So Harmful?

According to the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, owned by the NIH, Mercury exists in 3 different chemical forms. The first form is elemental (metallic) mercury. The second form is inorganic (methyl mercury). The third form is organic (ethyl mercury). The NCBI states that **organic** **mercury** is the **most** **dangerous** form of mercury to human health and ethyl mercury, also know as **thimerosal**, is a type of organic mercury. It can cause neurodevelopment toxicity and nephrotoxicity, which is brain and kidney toxicity and damage.  Mercury exposure can cause acute and chronic intoxication even at low levels of exposure and in high exposures includes loss of IQ points, and decreases performance of tests, including memory, attention, language and spatial cognition. In the same documents by the US National Library of Medicine National Institutes of Health, mercury can also lead to kidney damage in children and death might occur due to acute kidney failure. Also, Beginning in 1930, thimerosal, which contains 49.6% ethyl mercury was added to some multi- dose vaccines for preservation, and in 2006, the WHO Global Advisory Committee on Vaccine Safety concluded that there were no reasons to change current immunization practices. The CDC also claims that the ingredients used in vaccines are in the safe amount for human consumption. Although the FDA and scientists strongly disagree.

Test Animals Had Negative Side Affects to Thimerosal

There are no scientific tests for humans on the effects of thimerosal and the effect it can have on the human body, although scientists do have tests and researched on the effect it has on animals such as rabbits, rats and mice. The results were from the Nomination to the National Toxicology Program, and concluded that the rabbits had kidney and intestinal lesions with a maximum dose of 20mg/kg of thimerosal. Control rats were also injected twice-weekly with thimerosal at doses from 30 to 1000ug/kg for 1 year. The results showed that thimerosal- injected rats demonstrated spontaneous interstitial cell tumors of the testicles. Other Alarming/Controversial Issues Regarding Influenza Vaccines

According to the Western Australian News, Australia’s flu vaccine program for young children was shut down for 3 months and is being banned to not administer shots to children under 5 years old. Fluvax, the product name of a certain type of flu vaccination, triggered bad reactions in children in 2010 and left an 11-month old girl severely disabled. Also, health authorities in Australia, were alarmed that some children under five had an increased risk of seizures. This raises red flags when children in the US are being pushed to get vaccine after vaccine after vaccine. The CDC recommends 50 doses of 14 different vaccines between day of birth to 6 years, and 69 doses of 16 vaccines between day of birth to 18 years. When in 1953, only 16 doses of 4 different vaccines were administered to children between 2 months to age 6. Scientists are also correlating increased vaccine rates to increase rates of learning disabilities and autism. In 2013, 1 child out of 50 develops autism when in 1992, 1 child out of every 500 children developed autism. The biggest red flag that indicates vaccinations can be harmful is because of the National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act of 1986 which was put in place by the United States Congress. This act shields pharmaceutical companies from **liabilities** and **deaths** caused by the vaccines they manufacture, which have warnings on the boxes of flu vaccinations that indicate they are unsafe and can cause major side effects. Flumist is a type of flu vaccine that is used to help combat influenza. It states on its label, published by the FDA, that children 6 to 23 months of age had an increased risk of hospitalization and wheezing, and an increase risk of Guillain-Barre Syndrome.  Alternative Ways to Combat Against the Flu?

1)**Find Flu Vaccines That Do Not Have Harmful Ingredients**
There are flu vaccine alternatives out there that do not have all those nasty ingredients that could cause harm to your body. The best way to find out about this is to ask your doctor. Also, if you are considering taking the flu shot still, you can ask your doctor if you can look at the warnings and ingredients list/package-insert-label of the vaccine that you are going to take and he/she should be able to provide you with it.


2)**Get Adequate Amounts of Vitamin D and C**
Dr. Edward F. Groups and alternative Medical Doctor, recommends to make sure you are getting adequate amounts of Vitamin D and C levels. Also, the US National Library of Medicine Institutes of Health of the NIH, states that Vitamin C is a well know anti viral agent that combats the influenza virus very well. **Dr. Groups also recommends exercise and a healthy diet that is low in sugar and carbohydrates to keep you body healthy so that it can combat the flu easily. Also eat foods that are as minimally processed will help as well.**

3)**Colostrum is 3 Times More Effective To Combat the Flu Than The Flu Shot**
Another study also published by the US National Library of Medicine Institutes of Health, states that colostrum from cows, the first milk mammals produce during pregnancy, is three times more effective to combat the flu than the flu vaccine itself. Colostrum, both in healthy subjects and high-risk cardiovascular patients, is at least 3 times more effective than vaccination to prevent flu and is very cost-effective. Colostrum is given to babies of mammals at birth and since it contains antibodies, this protects newborn infants against diseases.

Overall you should avoid flu vaccinations as much as possible. Do not be scared of not taking the flu vaccine, because personally I have not received a flu vaccine or any type of vaccine in more than 5 years , and I have never gotten the flu since! Ultimately you need to care, respect and love your body and the returns for putting in this work is going to be endless! :)
