Decentralised governance need not suck. There is a solution which will work, even with 7 billion pull requests. I and @matrix-8 need help to create this system on Steem. We will do it. And perhaps Steemians and Steem Witnesses will have a look at it and study it and begin to understand it's potential.

Wow, 10 comments and they're all spam. Jeebus.

Interesting take on things. Some of the things that you see as problems I see as the benefits of decentralized, consensus-based governance. It works **really** well when nobody is using force or coercion, and when decisions are being made for as small of groups as possible.

I see a "hierarchy of agreements" wherein the higher the # of people considered, there is the expectation of a lower # of agreements. I have agreements with myself that don't include anyone else. My family unit will have agreements of our own that don't include anyone else, Same for the commune, village, neighborhood, co-operative, watershed, bioregion, continent, all the way up to the species.

Ya, the matrix-8 thing looks almost the same as my friend Bob Podolsky's Octologues & Holomats. (See: [Titania: The Open Source Ethical Society](https://www.titanians.org/holomats-octologues/)) Something that has been put into practice a bunch in Acapulco.

It also mirrors the organizational structure of things like the Thrive Movement, "Democratic Confederalism" (the basis for Rojava [Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria]), etc.

It's a callback to the structuring of the Iroquois Nation, but with the modern connectivity, and all that comes with that.

Hi!  I really appreciate this comment.  Voluntarist agreements, in a hierarchy.  Also important that local will always trump global, and thus the bigger the group the lower level of agreement, generally.

Exactly, the more people, the lower level of agreement. My idea is something like the NAP, the Golden Rule, the principle of voluntaryism, or some such as our "largest" layer. It seems to me that if the #1 most widespread agreement is that basic respect for sovereignty, then everyone can basically self-organize from their. Radicals from one ideology and fundamentalists from another can all be living alongside each other, because they each have their own sandbox to play in :-P

I'm not using *spam* as a pejorative, I see the value in what many of the bots do, like steemitboard and cheetah and such. It's still spammy duplicate (or close) comments by the thousands.
