This is so true. People have been creating content for years thinking it deserved payment, but honestly most of it's just shouting into the void. Getting any reward at all should be treated as winning the lottery that's how I see it

It is a very interesting approach that you raise.
I completely agree that tourism should not be the fundamental basis of the development of a region, since this could compromise its cultural identity and its essence.
I believe that projects such as yours are those that can really generate a positive and lasting impact, both for local communities and the environment.

I'm going to touch on some points that may help in defining "Quality".

And I think a lot of people especially on HIVE get some idea that the "quality" of your content makes it "worth" some amount of money or not. It would be healthier, in my estimation, if we all assumed our content was "worthless", and to get a nickel for it, a miracle.

I'm somewhat entertained by this perspective. Sometimes I do approach change with no expectation and I am more often than not, happy with the outcome. I was 15 years old when I realized the value and power of knowing your own worth. If you do not know your own worth, then yeah, the world will define it for you. For the most part, I follow what you are saying if your result oriented and the end goal is more money. And, most people's well being is determined by how well they play "Capitalism".

I am process centric, thus my journey is more valuable then a particular destination. As long as I am having #FUN and the by-product of this enjoyment contributes to a higher disposable income then its a satisfying journey.

The challenge I see, is being able to define and live by quality standards and not just say, assume, believe, etc that quality exist. This is often similar to the value people place on an opinion. If you think an opinion is a right then a standard or anything close to be a fact is actually irrelevant. !LOLZ

But quality is not measurable, so its a terrible proxy variable for judging content. We should more easily assume all content, in a vacuum, is worth zero. That includes yours, no matter how many hours you spend on it. Externally worthless.

Here you suggest that quality is not measurable. If you can't measure it then I agree, you do not have quality. !PIMP

I am reminded of many blogs I read that are filled with wishful thinking when claims are made about how well a project is going to do in the future. There is real value in data measurement as long as "your measure is measurable". By this, I mean that you must understand every aspect of a system and its supporting processes so that you don't create hype, false hope and waste based on irrelevant data disconnected from realistic goals and objectives. But then, we liver in a #TooFuckeh world filled with chaos and overly hyper-active people who have never heard of being pro-active. That means some success for some who keep repeating quality enough time that it must be high quality.

Totally agree, 100% and why I guide myself using a People, Process and Technology (PPT) framework to support Continuous Process Improvement (CPI). Without some form of CPI, you will be challenge to maintain quality deliverables. ie product and/or service

Ha ha, I went to vote for your witness and discovered I already am! And I was waiting for the votebegging post.

I was speaking with the Director of interesting project in South East England. They have a community garden and a market garden, but the wider philosophy and values of the project are about access to the land. I'm going to visit them on 1 July, looking forward to it. 

Of course you're involved in ecological restoration too...lol! That was something that I never got into as a main thing, but it was always close to my heart. I had so many notes and ideas on rebuilding tropical forest ecosystems. I very much appreciate you and the perspectives that you share, my friend. I like what you say about content creation is personal. Based on what I seen so far only content that have a personal touch will leave a lasting impact.
