 I never understood how we as a society don't realize how the NFL is a modern day bread and circus to keep us distracted. As a veteran witnessing another vet having to apologize for doing the right thing makes me believe he was forced to do it. Why would a Ranger have to say I'm sorry for standing up during the national anthem. There is only one reason the threat of being fired. Do not play into this because the real issue is about keeping the masses distracted.
