Cuenta la leyenda que un hombre barbudo caminaba por la selva. Que miraba el río Paraná y buscaba la manera de repeler todo lo que su vida había sido hasta ese momento. Este hombre gustaba de la soledad en la espesa selva. Su vida de solitario lo llevó a imaginar increíbles historias de amor de locura y de muerte, de Anacondas y de hombres que iban a la deriva río abajo; de sujetos alucinados y perseguidos por el signo de la muerte.

Cuenta la misma leyenda que este hombre solitario tuvo tres hijos y una pequeña que murió en extrañas circunstancias. Luego, cuando ellos decidieron irse a un sitio donde pudieran olvidar lo acontecido, un buen día su esposa murió. Los médicos no pudieron dar nunca con la extraña enfermedad que se la llevó tan rápido, y solo fue cuando recogieron el almohadón de plumas, donde ella tenía recostada su cabeza, que se dieron cuenta cuál fue la razón de su mal y su pronta muerte.

 Entonces decidió internarse en lo profundo del mundo, en lo más recóndito donde el silencio podía volver loco a cualquiera. Cuentan que el viento le susurraba las historias que escribió, los relatos más espeluznantes que se habían escrito hasta la fecha. Pocas veces iba al pueblo más cercano, pocas veces la gente lo veía. 
Quienes lo trataron decían que era un hombre viejo y triste, que sus ojos de un profundo negro producía desesperanza en quien los viera. Todos lo esquivaban, y a él no le quedó otra que marcharse, decidió quedarse en la inmensidad que lo rodeaba, hasta que desapareció.

 Dicen que cuando alguien se acerca al sitio donde este hombre vivió se escucha un susurro, que las cosas cobran vida, y que en la puerta, un collar se mueve como un péndulo, y que quien lo mira se queda hipnotizado y desaparece en el inhóspito y salvaje paraje, del que nunca nadie ha podido regresar.

## The writer
There is a legend that tells of a bearded man walking through the jungle. He looked at the Paraná River and looked for a way to repel everything that his life had been up to that moment. This man liked solitude in the thick jungle. His solitary life led him to imagine incredible stories of love, madness and death, of Anacondas and of men who drifted down the river; of hallucinated subjects pursued by the sign of death.

The same legend tells that this lonely man had three children and a little girl who died in strange circumstances. Later, when they decided to go to a place where they could forget what had happened, one fine day his wife died. The doctors were never able to find the strange illness that took her so quickly, and it was only when they picked up the feather pillow where she had laid her head that they realized what was the reason for her illness and her early death.

Then he decided to go into the depths of the world, into the deepest recesses where silence could drive anyone crazy. It is said that the wind whispered to him the stories he wrote, the most horrifying tales ever written. He rarely went to the nearest town, people rarely saw him. 
Those who treated him said he was an old and sad man, that his deep black eyes produced despair in anyone who saw them. Everyone avoided him, and he had no choice but to leave, he decided to stay in the immensity that surrounded him, until he disappeared.

 They say that when someone approaches the place where this man lived, a whisper is heard, that things come to life, and that at the door, a necklace moves like a pendulum, and whoever looks at it is hypnotized and disappears in the inhospitable and wild place, from which no one has ever been able to return.
