Allergies are one of the biggest drains on enjoyment of life and vitality for many of us. 

People often believe that they are stuck with the allergy and can only avoid the substance or treat the symptoms, either with medication, or with holistic treatments. Some of these are very effective, however they do not address the real reason why the allergies are there in the first place.

The conventional view of allergies is that they are a purely physical reaction to a substance that has entered or come into contact with our body and that this is bad luck, or the result of a physical circumstance. Many things are blamed, ranging from Mum eating peanuts while you were in the womb, through to good old genetic determinism.

However, from the point of view of META-Health and also energy psychology such as EFT, they are looked at very differently.

Basically, an allergy is very similar to a phobia, in that it is a learned (not conscious) reaction by the body to a specific stimulus. The difference between the two is that with an allergy, the substance is in contact with or internal to the body, whereas with a phobia, it is external.

Now, this doesn’t make allergies any less dangerous. However, with this understanding that you can address a specific root cause and potentially reduce or even resolve the allergy, you have a whole new potential to self-heal.
