Lots of us will rather look ahead, forward to tomorrow with hopes of connecting the dots rather than look behind because, we fear the ills of the past will not help us forge a better future.

Looking ahead is a good thing but it doesn't help us form a good pattern for what we will be getting in the future.
Man's ability to look back is what helps the connection process and when we stop looking back, we will never be able to see the dots connect in the future because we didn't connect it from before then.

Connect the dots the right way and you will see the pattern forming clearly for you to sail smoothly in the future.
