There has been news for a while on how Facebook is planning a digital currency and also how they will be requiring a whooping $1billion USD for the project.  While surfing the net, I happened on this 👆 information and it is making me now see that, they may be serious in their plans to utilize Blockchain technology. *** **<center>I Feel Blessed!</center>** *** I think it is a good thing for blockchain technology and it's believers for a social media giant like Facebook to enter the space. They have got a very deep pocket and also the user base spread around multiple platforms to make it work. My worry however is that, **"is Facebook really going to make blockchain technology stay decentralized process will their foray into this space centralize the shot out of it?"** *Mark Zuckerberg has done a great job with his company and has racked up billions on profit while giving very little back.* Will the Facebook Coin, (if that is the name) allow users the freedom of choice when it is eventually launched or will it become another in house currency that will run based on the settings of its owners instead on a decentralized one? The gist about this project is being kept under wraps and little by little, we are seeing and hearing stuffs that is making so many of us speculate what may be coming. What do you think this will mean for the Blockchain space? Will Facebook Coin topple Bitcoin, Ethereum etc? Will the Facebook Blockchain be the distruptor the world is waiting for? Will it be monopolized like every of her holdings? What exactly is Mark Zuckerberg up to? Is Facebook getting on this based on FOMO? *** I think we need more corporations to adopt Blockchain Technology because it is the new internet and with its immutability, speed and security, the world may be leaving the past to the future pretty soon. *** **<center>Make the world a better place for someone today!</center>**

I watched the Facebook developers thing, well not all. It seems the main blockchain focus is on whatsapp payments like they are doing in India already. I think we will see payments taking place via messenger as well, and they will be doing qr codes payments at major retailers. That is the trend taking place with social media in japan and China and Facebook always follows the Asian trends by taking it a bit further. Right now in japan I am using LINE messenger and I can send/receive payments, pay for goods using the app but not widely as yet. Same in China. I think Facebooks blockchain project could see many crypto currencies become unnecessary for the masses, they will dive into international remittance ( where the money is ) and sending currency to your friends on fb will be a breeze. The real crypto will continues to grow as the world gets tokenized. Who knows what will happen but I think good crypto projects have nothing to fear.
