Marigold flowers

Marigold or in Indonesian it is called the gemitir flower, is an ornamental flower that is famous for its bright and attractive yellow to orange colors. This flower has the Latin name Tagetes erecta L. and comes from the same Asteraceae family as chrysanthemums, dahlias and sunflowers.

Marigolds have upright stems and round leaves that grow alternately. This flower has petals arranged in several rows and consists of yellow, orange, or dark red. Marigolds are usually grown as annuals or as insect repellents.

Apart from being an ornamental plant, Marigold also has other benefits. For example, Marigold can be used as an ingredient in traditional medicine to treat several health problems such as sore throat, fever and headaches. In addition, Marigold is also often used as a natural coloring agent in food and cosmetics.

Marigolds are known as plants that are easy to grow and maintenance is also quite simple. This plant can grow well in a variety of soil types, but loose and fertile soil is preferred. Marigolds also do well in full sun or in slightly shaded areas.

In general, marigolds are attractive and easy to grow, making them suitable as ornamental plants in gardens or pots. With a bright yellow to orange color, Marigold can bring beauty and joy to the surrounding environment.
