Ptilocera quadridentata

Hey folks weekend is here already, how things are on your side, any plans for today? My plan is to try to catch up on things on hive, doing schedule posts, editing some of my recent photos, and stuff like that, in which I hope I can keep my posting streak kept on going. 

These last few days have been quite busy doing my offline stuff and my social duties as part of my local Bali and Hindu community as one of my big family members was married yesterday.

Anyway enough of my ranting, let's get back to my macro photo shots. For today I have *Ptilocera quadridentata* a type of soldier fly from the genus Ptilocera. There has been very little info about this soldier fly, and also about this genus in general.

I think the shape of its body is the same as the other soldier fly, but this one has metallic yellow color on its back, while the common black soldier flies from a different genus only has black color on its body.

It also has a very nice color pattern on its eyes, I think it will also differentiate this species from the other soldier fly. I hope to find more info about this fly in the future.
