# Hello Splinter Fanatics!

My story in Splinterlands begins in 2021, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. I was looking for a way to earn extra income online, since face-to-face work was going badly given the conditions at the time. Then I came across the NFT games that were booming and that's when I heard about **Axe Infinite**, but I realized that this game was very hyped and everyone wanted to get into it because of its profitability. 

I've always been a less greedy person, so I wanted to find a game where I wouldn't invest too much and would have a sustainable economy. To get into **Axie Infinite** you'd have to spend around a thousand dollars to build a reasonable team, at the time I heard about it. However, doing a lot of research I came across Splinterlands through a youtuber and I liked the card game genre. I'd never played a card game before.

To get started in Splinterlands, all you had to do was buy a Spellbook, which gave you access to the starter cards, and a Hive account. The spellbook cost ten dollars, a symbolic amount, which gave you the chance to earn much more just by opening random chests every day. 

After buying the Spellbook, I spent almost a week just practicing in friendly mode with other players, just to get started. After all, the game involved money and I thought I would have to be a good player to earn rewards. After I started playing for money and got a taste for the game, I bought some cards to improve my collection.

The first card I bought was **Chain Golem**, a Splinter Neutral legendary card with main tank attributes. At the time it cost around 40 dollars for just one copy at level 1. I used this card a lot, in practically all my battles, because it had good stats for battling melee and ranged damage monsters.

Seeing that buying cards was a good deal, I bought several more, mostly cards from the Untemad edition, Splinter Neutral and Dagon, which are the most versatile. I became addicted to buying cards and I didn't like renting cards, because at the time the DEC was super expensive. I spent about a thousand dollars on cards, and the cards went up in value to an incredible 8,000 dollars, but I sold very few of them at those prices. 

With the changes in Splinterlands, with the split into two game formats Wild and Mordeno. I changed my strategy for buying cards, and now most of the cards I use are rented. Because, until a while ago, the way the game was designed punished those who had cards, especially when those cards went from the mordeno format to the wild format. Nowadays, card rentals have risen in value to such an extent that the strategy of buying cards might start to make sense. For this reason, when I see a card with a value well below market value, I buy it, especially the Rebellion edition Summoners (the most current edition). 





# My goals in Splinterlands

As I mentioned, I still buy some cards in Splinterlands, especially newer summoners, like **Nomos** which I bought recently. But my main focus is to increase my amount of $SPS in staked. Today I have about 19K SPS with the goal of having 50K SPS by the end of the year.

I have had and continue to have a lot of happiness with Splinterlands, sometimes luck smiles and you can earn good rewards. Currently, the cards you earn are soulbonds and can't be sold unless you pay a fee, so the only way to earn any rewards is in battles through the SPS.

If you're just starting out in Splinterlands or want to: a good piece of advice is to grow gradually by playing the Rocket battles, Brawls and Tournaments. Splinterlands is more than just a game, it brings together people from all over the world.

# Olá Splinter Fanáticos!

Minha história em Splinterlands se inicia em 2021, em plena pandemia do corona Virus. Eu estava em busca de forma de obter uma renda extra na internet, uma vez que trabalhos presenciais estavam ruins dados as condições do momento. Então, me deparei com os jogos NFTs que estavam bombando e foi ai que eu ouvi falar em **Axe Infinite**, porém percebi que esse jogo estava muito hypado e todos queriam entrar nesse jogo devido sua lucratividade. 

Eu sempre fui uma pessoa menos ganaciosa, então queria encontrar um jogo em que eu não investisse muito e tivesse uma economia sustentável. Para entrar no **Axie Infinite** gastava-se em torno de mil dolares para montar um time razoável, na epoca que tive conhecimento. Porém, pesquisando bastante conheci Splinterlands por um youtuber e gostei do gênero, card game. Eu nunca tinha jogado card game antes.

Para iniciar em splinterlands era preciso apenas comprar um o Spellbook, que lhe dava acesso as cartas iniciais e um conta na Hive, esta segunda informação foi conhecer depois de muito tempo. O spellbook custava dez dolares, valor simbolico, que dava a possibilidade de ganhar muito mais apenas abrindo baús aleatórios diarimente. 

Depois de ter comprado o Spellbook passei quase uma semana, apenas praticando no modo amistoso com outros jogadores, apenas para começar a jogo, a final o jogo envolvia dinheiro e eu pensava que teria que ser um bom jogador para ganhar recompensas. Depois que comecei a jogar para vale e tomei gosto pelo jogo comprei algumas cartas, para melhora minha coleção.

A primeira carta que comprei foi **Chain Golem**, uma carta lendária do Splinter Neutro com atributos de tanque principal. Na epoca custou cerca de 40 dolares apenas um exemplar no nível 1, eu utilizei bastante essa carta, em praticamente todas as minhas batalhas, porque ele tinha boas estatisticas para batalhar contra monstros de dano melee e ranged.

Vendo que comprar cartas era um bom negócio eu comprei várias outras, a maioria cartas da edição Untemad, do Splinter Neutro e Dagrão, que são os mais versáties. Eu fiquei viciado em comprar cartas e não gostava de alugar cartas, porque na epoca o DEC era super varizado. Gastei cerca de mil dolares em cartas, as cartas chegaram a valorizar e chegaram a incríveis 8 mil dolares, porém vendi poucas dessa carta a esses preços. 

Com as mudanças em Splinterlands, com a divisão em dois formatos de jogos Wild e Mordeno. Eu mudei minha estratégia de comprar cartas, e agora a maioria das cartas que utilizo são alugadas. Porque, até certo tempo atrás a forma como o jogo estava desenhado punia que tinha cartas, principalmente quando essas cartas passam do formato mordeno para o wild. Atualmente, o aluguel das cartas se valorizou de tal forma, que a estratégia de comprar cartas talvez comece a fazer sentido. Por esse motivo quando eu vejo uma carta com valor muito abaixo do mercado eu compro, principalmente os Invocadores da edição Rebellion ( edição mais atual) 





# Meus objetivos em Splinterlands

Como mencionei eu ainda continuo comprando algumas cartas em Splinterlands, principalmente invocadores mais recentes, como **Nomos** que comprei recentemente. Mas, meu principal foco é aumentar minha quantidade de $SPS em staked. Hoje tenho cerca de 19K de SPS com meta de ter 50K de SPS, até o final do ano.

Eu já tive e continuo tendo muitas felicidades com Splinterlands, as vezes a sorte sorrir e podemos ganhar boas recompensas. Atualmente, as cartas que se ganham são soulbonds e não podem ser vendidas a menos que se pague uma taxa, então a unica forma de ganhar alguma recompensa é nas batalhas através do SPS.

Caso você esteja iniciando em Splinterlands ou pretende começar: um bom conselho é ir crescendo ao pouco jogando as batalhas Raqueadas, Brawls e Torneios. Splinterlands é mais que um jogo, pois ele uni várias pessoas de várias partes do mundo.
