Some of the species that, according to the images, it resembles are the leptinotarsa decemlineata or "Colorado potato beetle" and the leptinotarsa juncta or "false potato beetle". Within the genus Zygogramma there are two similar species but with somewhat different colors and markings, the Zygogramma continua and the Zigogramma exclamationis.</div>***
