How does time pass so quickly without us noticing?

In reality, we see that days pass in the blink of an eye, and we wake up to find that many months have gone by without achieving anything we hoped for. Honestly, this question is not new, but I never had a clear answer. However, after thinking deeply, I found the reason that the thing that puts us in this cycle, making time fly away like steam, without us noticing and without getting anything done.

For me, the first thing that came to mind was the repetitive routine. We live each day in the same way without any renewal or change. As a result, we find that days and weeks pass without us achieving anything or experiencing anything new. Why? Because it's just the same day being repeated again and again. A boring and wrong routine that we do automatically, without awareness so we work, eat, sleep, and forget to live or enjoy any possible moment.

The mobile phone and technology have turned us into robots, constantly stuck in a cycle of scrolling and searching in a deep sea of information, without a clear goal and without finding what we really want. Simply because there are too many options in front of us and hundreds of choices which wastes our time before we even pick something. If we had just one or two options, we would choose quickly. But with so many options, we end up doing nothing.

The solution I found for this problem is to create a daily plan as write down a few simple things you want to achieve today. These should be your top priorities. Then, add new and completely different things you want to try, so that your day doesn’t pass quickly without meaning also, every week you should try something special or do something new to refresh your memory and make each day feel different from the others.

Finally, you should reduce your random digital consumption and like using your mobile phone or going through technology in a mindless way.


Practicing mindfulness or self-reflection like what I’m doing right now by asking myself such questions helps remove negativity from life, and it has really improved me and divide your time into minutes and hours, so you can see that you actually have many big moments during the day instead of letting it escape from you as one block of time without realizing.
