Hoy es un día especial en nuestra familia, ya que es el Día Mundial de la Concienciación sobre el Autismo 💙.

Empezamos el día como hace 6 años, yendo a terapia, terapias que se volvieron parte de la rutina de Amelie y también de nuestra familia. Por eso hoy, quise dejarle un mensaje y contarles que en el 2018 comenzó esta historia.

Amelie nos escogió como su familia y eso es maravilloso. La gente a veces la ve y se extraña porque ella me abraza, me toca, se sienta sobre mí y se preguntan, cómo es posible, ya que Amelie es autista. Bueno, la respuesta es fácil: un diagnóstico, no es un pronóstico, así que decidimos que el afecto fuera parte de su vida y ella lo acepta y da a su manera.

¿Qué es el autismo? Nunca he definido ese concepto en mi blog, creo que es como preguntar: ¿Qué es una persona blanca o Morena?, es parte de lo que son. Y la sociedad se ha llenado por años diciendo que TODOS los seres humanos somos diferentes, pero cuando ven a un niño o persona autista, que también son diferentes, entonces le llaman a ellos "especiales o enfermos", cuando el Autismo no es una enfermedad, ni es algo que se deja a un lado, porque un grupo no tolere que se definan con ese nombre.

Amelie nos enseñó que se puede amar de muchas maneras, que la paciencia no tiene límites y que cada día se pierde un poco de ella, pero se añade otro poco también. Nos enseñó que la empatía no se da a quien de apariencias la necesita, si no a todos, incluso al payaso mientras sonríe buscando sacarnos también una sonrisa. Nos ha enseñado que la rutina no es mala, si no necesaria y que también es genial salir de ella de vez en cuando. 

Nos ha enseñado que los logros no se miden por pequeños o grandes, que tiene la misma emoción dar un paso por primera vez que correr miles de kilómetros. Nos ha enseñado a escuchar el silencio y hablar a través de la mirada. Que el amor no se dice, porque la manera perfecta es demostrarlo, darlo y hacer saber que realmente existe. Que el autismo no es cuestión de uno, si no de todos los que lo rodean. Que debemos ser el doble de fuertes ante los prejuicios, pero que tampoco hay que callarnos y aceptar que otros sean quienes nos definan o juzguen por lo que no viven en nuestra propia piel.

Lloro cada vez que escucho a una mami hablar del amor que siente por su ángel azul porque comparto los mismos sentimientos y sé que ese amor es infinito. 

Nuestros hijos se vuelven un pedacito de nosotros pero ellos por su condición crean una conexión tan grande que no existen palabras para expresarlo.

¡Qué  forma  tan  bonita  y  humana  de  referirte  al autismo  y  con  toda  naturalidad! Yo  apenas  comienzo a  conocer  este  mundo,y  Amelie  es  un  caso  dulce  y  hermoso.

Y  esa definición  de  autismo  sí  que  es  determinante.  Muy  lindopost, sinceramente.

Día del amor azul, del corazón que se abre a lo distinto, y lo hace suyo, con sentido de pertenencia. Amelie es uns princesa azul, un ángel de Dios que vino al mundo como bien dices, a enseñarles lo que es el amor verdadero. Ella tiene la dicha de poder contar con una familia especial y fabulosa, como lo son ustedes. 

Me ha encantado este video, y el amor que expresas en cada palabra, por esa princesita que vino a cambiar tu mundo y que te mostró otra cara hermosa del ser mamá. Lamentablemente, como bien dices, a mucha parte de la sociedad actual, le faltan kilómetros de aprendizaje respecto a este tema.

Estoy muy feliz por los avances de Amelie, aún más, por todo el esfuerzo que han hecho como padres. Es cierto: la sociedad poco comprende y busca juzgar.  Yo pienso que los niños con autismo son personas maravillosas; incluso, hasta más inteligentes, libres de toda la maldad del mundo. Merecen todo el amor y el respeto del universo.
