Greetings friends of the @ecoTrain community, back with you in Question of the Week 9.3, in which I will share my spiritual and physical miracle in which God worked to deliver me from alcohol addiction and a skin disease product of the same addiction.

At the age of 25 I started working as an educator in a very prestigious school of Petroleum of Venezuela (PDVSA) and met a group of professionals, with whom I made many friendships and family ties. As my friendships grew stronger, my addiction to alcohol grew. Eight years passed and my desire to drink liquor became deeper and more addictive, which caused me a certain liver disease that damaged my skin with a terrible allergy that medications could not control. Time passed and the disease became more chronic. I must also attest that my excessive alcohol consumption brought me to the point of almost losing my house and my marriage, so I sought help from a specialist, but the situation did not improve at all. My wife spoke to me clearly and told me to go to the evangelical church where my father congregated to talk to the pastor of the church and pray for me. I had no choice but to seek spiritual help, because my wife was deciding to end her marital relationship with me. I remember arriving at the church with my wife and my father, who is now deceased.

That night, after the preaching ended, the pastor of the church made the call to receive Christ, I remember that I went forward and the pastor prayed and I felt that something inside me came out strongly and I felt as if a chain was breaking, the truth is that I felt a very special liberation which I did not understand. The next day, I went to work to teach a class and it was a Friday, in which I always met with my friends to drink alcohol, the truth is that that day my friends invited me and I gave them a resounding no that came from my heart. I was surprised that I had said no to my friends, but I felt such a special liberation inside me, that it did not provoke me to continue drinking liquor at all. God had performed such a powerful miracle that I didn't understand what was happening. I talked to the pastor of the church about this experience and he told me that God had set me free and that the Holy Spirit was inside me as the Bible says. He quoted a set of words from the Bible that confirmed that God had performed a miracle of spiritual deliverance, which now made me abhor alcohol. The truth of the matter was that I was new to this and did not understand what God was doing in my life. I began to congregate with my family in church and stopped partying with my coworkers, so God prevented me from losing my marriage and home.

After a week of receiving Christ in my heart and attending church continuously, the miracle of healing came, my liver got stronger and my skin stopped having those itchy rosettes on my body. The pills were no longer necessary, I felt that my skin was restored as well as my liver. It has now been 22 years since God delivered me from the clutches of alcohol and healed my liver and body. In addition, I thank God for the salvation of my marriage, my family and my life in particular. I have 22 years serving God with my family and I am currently a pastor and preacher of God's word.
