For my birthday one my dearest’s friends gave me this book, the silent patient. She usually chooses her books from BookTok so I knew this book was going to be good.

It’s about a women called Alicia who killed his husband by shooting him 5 times in the head. No one knows why she did that, she was supposedly living a perfect life: dream job, “perfect” husband and a lot of money.

After 6 years without speaking a therapist, Theo, is convinced he can make her speak and make the rest of the world empathize with her.  He does everything in his power to prioritize Alicia’s case in the psychiatric unit she is staying at. 

We also hear about Theo’s story, his traumas and his problems with his wife when he finds out she is cheating on him. 

What I really liked was the plot twist at the end which really gave me another perspective about Alicia’s and Theo’s story.  

Overall, I definitely recommend this book to anyone but especially if you like mystery novels.
