The more you read the more you grow in knowledge, and the more your life becomes meaningful.

If you see a man of high intellectual sagacity ask him about the book he reads. When you read,you will naturally lead.

There is something reading does to your mind. It broaden the horizon of your mind, it makes you delve into places your legs may never reach.

The book is a silent and quiet teacher,its always there waiting for you to come and learn.

That was the **most blunt** quote i  have ever read. **Its the cold truth**. An average african student read only when he want to seat for an exam. An average african student always complain about a post and article being long

We need to feed the mind with beneficial knowledge like how we feed our stomach with food.  Unlike the stomach, the mind doesn't inflict any current pain but the long term effect of not feeding it is more painful..."If you feed your mind,your mind will feed your stomach".

Regular reading will improve your cognitive ability, vocabulary bank, increase your analytical and conceptual skills. 

Even with high access to information in our age,It takes about 0.36 seconds to get an information on google but yet some youths are still ignorant about basic concepts around them.

Make sure at every point in time you are reading a book. If you spend 20 minutes reading daily, for 52 weeks you would have consumed 1,000,000 words.

This year stay away from television and non value adding movies as much as possible. You can watch educational channels that add value to your intellectual acuity.

Start developing your library if you don't have one no matter how small,you can download free pdf books via Google.

It's a known fact that the world is ruled by those who think. Look around you, everything evolves around those who have a sufficient measure of intellectual energy to run the world. It would shock you to know that even Bill Gate pays people to brainstorm for him.

Don't just sit there like some couch potato day dreaming about seeing a hundred million bucks on the ground while strolling across the streets and believe you are a thinker. Being a thinker involves gathering positive mental pictures from a realistic viewpoint and then working out exactly how you intend to bring that picture into real life.

Make sure you have an expert knowledge in your field and a conversational knowledge in other areas (knowledge never goes to waste). Reading not just books related to your field but general books that will shape your mindset and grow your emotional and quotient Intelligence.

I love to read but i prefer i watch. I comprehend more using audio-visual learning kits or aids. One cannot rule out the essence of readibg though as it espouse the mind to new frontiers. You made valid submission
