Struck by the lightning

Today, we witnessed a natural disaster that could occur anywhere in the world. As predicted, after a sunny weekend, storms with lightnings came over us.

Suddenly, the lightning struck into the spruce, which grew in the vicinity of the village. Despite the heavy rain, the raw power of the lightning caused the fire.

Fortunately, only one spruce trunk burned, on which, despite the heavy rain, the fire quickly expanded due to the presence of the spruces resin.

As the rain started to fade, and because there was a haystack close to the tree, the villagers called the firefighters who took the water pipes and watched up close to the situation.

It's good that the fire has ceased on its own, and no greater intervention was needed. Nevertheless, we can be delighted to have firefighters in the vicinity, and we rely on them every time there is an accident.

Amazing photos, that must have been scary with the fire so close to the village, I am glad that the firefighters and the rain was able to put out the fire before it caused any damage.

Indeed it was. If I wouldn't look through the window we wouldn't even notice. Scary is the fact, that it can really happen anywhere, and that every situation can be a lot worse within seconds. What if the rain wouldn't fall, what if the wind would start blowing, or even if the firefighters wouldn't be near... Etc...
