Good afternoon everyone,

**As the title says, the APR for @empo.voter HP delegators has been increased up to 12% APR.**

The change is already **LIVE**. 
(First round of rewards in a few hours).

Looking at the data for the last 6 months since the APR was reduced to 8%, it is clear that this APR is not attractive enough for HIVE Power delegates and has gradually fallen into disuse in favor of other alternatives in the HIVE ecosystem that pay 10-12%. 

Add to that the fact that the APR for voting on autopilot is already around 6-8%, and it is clear that delegating HP to empo.voter is nowhere near the top of profitability.

So I thought I would try this little experiment and see how it goes.  

As the title also says, this is a test to gauge how much interest there is in a 12% APR paid in PWR, but I can't promise to maintain it indefinitely. So I am going to give a couple of guarantees:

- This 12% APR will be held for a MINIMUM of 6 months*. 
- One month's notice will be given before being reduced again**. 

(**6 months means from now until the second week of September '25*)
(***Could be announced as early as August to end in September*)

These two clauses are simply there to guarantee a minimum duration and stability over time. As you should know, withdrawing a Hive Power delegation takes 5 days during which the HIVE is in limbo. These are 5 ''lost'' days of revenue and therefore must be taken into account; timing is important.

Hi, i dont get payments from liquidity pools. I get 1 payment in january after that nothing.

Adjusting the APR to remain "competitive" within the Hive ecosystem may work in the short term, but it will primarily attract those seeking the highest possible returns. When a more profitable option appears, they will likely move on. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but in the long run, the goal should be to build a base of delegators who are committed to the project beyond just the rate of returnβ€”people who understand and support the long-term vision, including the original policies aimed at reducing token emission. This way, the project's sustainability won’t rely solely on APR adjustments but on a community that values its purpose and long-term growth.

I appreciate the effort you put on building a project like this where even small accounts have the opportunity to participate.

Excellent news.  LBI just increased our delegation (before this news) so the timing could not have been better for us.

My only thought is to keep an eye on the sustainability.  8% is completely sustainable, 12% could be challenging to maintain if it becomes popular.

Well, good thing about HIVE is the lack of tx fees.

You can always try with a small amount and test the experience without any cost.
 
Delegating your HIVE Power to a project which pays to delegators (like curangel,ocdb, leo.voter or mine) is a good way to put your HIVE Power to work while you're AFK and avoid letting your excess of voting power go away. 

It's also very helpful to avoid relying on manual curation.

Thank you very much. I haven't thought about it that way, but I only have 257 HP. I think it's too low for that. Also, I'm participating on the @apis.hive program where I can't be delegating more than 30% of my HP or I can't be elegible to participate.

Maybe I can try delegating 10-15% of my HP.
