Ever had Someone with Stroke?

Hi Guys.  I need to hear some stroke survivor experiences to make comparisons.

A lot one suffered a stroke More than a year ago and is yet to get proper coordination after a year of intense physiotherapy. 

I've been told the nature of the stroke is Ischemic - a slowly creeping stroke that blocks blood vessels, making recovery very difficult. 

However, this has been a year and counting. He is unable to sit or stand on his own.  We keep trying to support and encourage him daily but it is quite disheartening to see recovery so slow.

Anyone here who's gone through something similar? Need to hear some personal recovery stories and the steps you took.

I think every stroke is different - it depends on where in the brain, and how big the blockage was, and how long until the doctors were able to unblock it, etc., etc.  My grandmother had a stroke but hers was small and she fully recovered.  Best wishes to your loved one! <3

Most of the survivor stories I've heard from friends and acquaintances have been relatively mild. Can't help but curse our luck over his own case
