It always seems to shock critics who leave nothing on the table whenever crypto rebounds after a sharp decline or challenge. Every major challenge is an avenue for the fiercest critics to bury the platform so they certainly play their part in ensuring that happens. What happens next though is that the space always finds a way to rebound each and every time. 

Of course that won't stop the criticisms from coming, but it is important to note this in quite a few ways. There are only so many avenues that critics can use to hammer on the purported lack of credibility in the space. First we were told it  was a ponzi scheme (we're back to that now BTW), then when that wasn't working the critics switched to emphasizing fraud on the space to make it lose credence as a genuine financial solution. 

The current challenge that the space faces seems to be the most important one yet. This is because its scope and reach will be felt for some time and likely expose some very genuine reasons for criticisms. The critics are having a field day no thanks to FTX, and it is becoming increasingly difficult to defend the actions of some players in the space while justifying the supposed need for regulations. 

I spoke about bad actors in a previous article and how we need to weed them out from our system. Yet sustainability isn't just about keeping those players out. In the past year or so the really important players in the space have also gone to work and have been building. Proof of value projects are springing up like never seen before and we are seen more people going long on the space.

Of course developments will be overshadowed when we have instances like these, but am glad that the core builders and long investors have remained focused on the task at hand. We might sink to even lower lows with the aftermath of this debacle but what remains a given is that the chain is going to come out of it stronger. 

By stronger I mean the chain will not only have less bad actors, but we'll be that closer to revealing to the World what our true value offerings are, and making people accept them. As a matter of fact without incidences such as this we might have stayed in an eternal bubble that would've kept growing, perhaps to an unimaginable level, before bursting.

# Conclusion
I always like to give Hive's challenges as a prime example. The major experiences we have had in the past has only positioned the platform for success, and left us in an infinitely better position. There is no need to wish away these challenges, we'll win the long game.
