<div class="text-justify">It is very easy to see someone doing something and conclude that it is easy, sometimes our ego can even make us go ahead to downgrade their efforts if they don't seem to beat our expectations.

I have been doing that before but I had to stop after life gave me a first-hand lesson. 

Nothing is ever easy in life, even the simplest things in life like; eating and bathing took us time to master at one point. 

I am among those who believe that everything is possible, and everything can be mastered if we give it the appropriate effort, time, and commitment but that doesn't negate the fact that some things are very difficult to learn, and giving up on some is okay. 

I have encountered many things that were so difficult for me to learn, some I gave up on and some I had to endure till I broke out and I'll share one of the experiences with you.

Some years back after getting to know about web3 and the Hive Blockchain, I saw the necessity to be original with my content, including my images.

Beautiful and creative images also depict quality content. They have the ability to attract people to our work and give a clue on how the content is. 

I spoke to a friend of mine who is into graphic design and he agreed to teach me online because he was in school at that time. 

He sent me some tutorial videos and a few PDFs to study. Being curious and full of zeal, I consumed the materials within a few days.

You know something with tutorial videos, you will feel like you have already grasped everything until you are given the stage to perform, Lol.

After teaching me a few things, and taking some time to watch the videos thoroughly, I thought I had arrived. I went into practicals but unfortunately, reality looks weird. Every time I logged into Canva, it was as if I had zero knowledge of design.

What I thought I would master within a month and start creating amazing designs, prolonged from a month into years and I was not getting any better at it.

It's funny how I saw others learning the same graphic design and getting results within months. 

Those who took courses and mentorship after me began making good designs but I was there and not growing.

So, I just stopped and out of the feeling of anger and disappointment in myself, I deleted the materials he gave me.

Thank God, my friend also taught me how to edit templates and use them for whatever I wanted, so that was what I held onto. 

If you noticed most of my posts with original pictures, you would discover that all of them were edited templates from Canva. To date, I can't start any design from scratch to the end. They don't usually make sense, LOL. 

Ideally, I wanted to have the knowledge as a backup digital skill, a lot of people are making it through graphic designs and I also love the feeling of birthing something out of imagination, that creative trait in the skill gives me joy but it is not all that we want that we will get.

I didn't end up mastering the skill to date, hopefully, I may do so someday if time permits.
