<div class="text-justify">I remember some years back when my friends came to the house and started talking about how they were making cool money via a Ponzi scheme (students' wallet)

I just graduated from college back then and I was looking for means to survive, you know how it is.

To be honest, I did not have any money at that time, and the only asset I had was my smartphone. After verifying their cashouts and seeing the result of the project in their lives.

I decided to sell my phone and used my friend's phone to register and invest my money.

 Unfortunately, after a while, I think within the period of two to three months the project crashed and I lost my money.

What I benefited from the project was not even up to 5% of my capital. I had no phone, and no money to start up life, I was left stranded. It hurt me terribly but I had nothing to do.

I was not so lucky but the experience transformed my life. It destroyed the fear of losing even the things that mean the world to me for a good course.

No one ever became something great in life without having to take risks. We do not know what tomorrow holds, whatever we do is just by faith, it is just by taking risks and hoping for a good outcome.

We didn't know that we would be awake today when we slept last night but we all slept and here we are. If we had refused to sleep, probably for fear of not waking up, perhaps we would have been struggling with headaches and other challenges by now. 

Life is fully about taking risks and whether we choose to take the risk for a better course or not, it is still a risk in itself because when we refuse to do something, we are putting ourselves in danger of failing in that area.

Most people that we are celebrating today started their journey by taking a bold step of risk engineered by faith in themselves.

They were not sure whether they would make it or not but they started anyway and they are whatever they are today.

However, I am of the opinion of taking calculated risks. Risk is for sure the way out of every predicament but not all risks are worth taking. Some risks instead of building us can end up being the reason for our downfall.

So, we must learn to weigh, test, and ensure that the path is worth going before we venture on the journey.

The last time I took an obvious risk was last month. A friend of mine told me about a trading bot that he had been introduced to.

He is someone I trust so much. He showed me how much he had made so far from the bot and how it has been of help to him financially.

So, I didn't hesitate to ask how to go about it and he explained it to me. I was not having a dime both home and abroad, LOL. I checked everywhere I could but I had nothing.

I am someone who hates loans, even if you would put a knife in my neck, I would rather stay broke than borrow because I know what debts can do to a man.

But that day, I summoned courage and I went to one of my neighbors whom I am cool with and I collected the exact amount of money he asked for and gave it to him.

It was risky to collect loans and invest in such a business but I needed money, you know how the economy is. 

Unfortunately, two days after taking the money, he brought back a report that the owner of the project said he was not going to continue due to the bad behavior of one of his clients.

My heart skipped, but it's not bad this time around. All this while he didn't even deposit the money, he held it and was observing what was happening.

I guess I was lucky, he gave me back the money and I returned it to the woman I borrowed from without hesitation. I didn't ask him whether his money was refunded or not as the bot stopped working.
 
Risks have two sides, either joy or pain but either way, it's a win-win because  every loss we get as a result of taking a calculated risk, we learn something great.
