People go into relationships for different reasons, to have fun, to have a life partner, to have experience and so on.

As a result of that people behaved differently in relationships. Some pretend, some lie, some cheat, some are unfaithful, some are faithful, some are disciplined, some loose, some are just confused.

It's so unfortunate that a great number of people fall into the negative category. To them, they are just being smart and enjoying life.

In a situation where one of the partners has the ability to read minds, and they just discovered it all of a sudden, there would be a serious problem.

A lot of people would be forced to stay single. Most relationships would crash but the good thing is most people won't end up with the wrong partners and the rate of divorce and broken marriages would reduce drastically.

However, I think it would be best if both of them had that gift so that the one with the gift wouldn't take advantage of the other without it.

And both of them would be able to see through each other and know the intentions of their hearts. The two would be able to know when they are faking it, they would know when they are doing what the other person doesn't like. They both would know when to press and when to hold on. They would know when to stay away and when to be around.

They would know exactly how to please each other. How fun relationships would have been if it was like that but wishes are not roses, hehehe.

Coming back to me, If I discovered that someone I have been dating has the gift of mind reading, I won't be sad about it, in fact I would appreciate it because I know my intentions towards whoever I go into any relationship with.

But I would be shocked for a fact, imagine your partner coming to tell you all that you've ever done, even the little lies you gave him/her as an excuse just not to come over, all the pretence and pains you hide from them, wouldn't that throw you into a pool of surprise? Certainly, it will.

Nevertheless, I would be elated because she won't only see the negative things but my pure and genuine intentions for her.

And if they were bad, she would also know and find her way out because I am not a narcissist. If I am not good for someone and I discover it, I don't even wait for them to talk, I end everything and let them grow.

Although, I know the discovery may affect the relationship somehow because I may begin to act too cautious because I know she knows what's in my mind. Things like that may affect the relationship along the line.

However, if I knew she could read minds before the relationship began, it wouldn't be an issue.

It will make me be intentional about the person and I'll be as transparent as possible. At Least I know what I am going into, and I will prepare my mind before I go into it but if it's something that I get to know suddenly, seriously, it may take me a long time to adapt, funny enough one can't even pretend because the person would know, LOL. It's going to be tough honestly.

Both the partners reading each others thoughts completely..... it's going to be a wahala, I believe. None of us is perfect, none of us is all clean all the time. We have thoughts at times we don't wanna have in our own minds the next time, let alone any one else knows about it. What if each of the partners knows all such things about each other. I cannot imagine such a relation go too far. They will always have something to counter attack.

 
I don't think such a life be fun but terrible. Instead of having a sogh of relief and solace with their partners both the partners will be in excessive strain whenever with each other. They will try to avoid each other more than they will be together

And if both of you know it all about each other, it will take the mercies of God for the relationship to also go far just like you said.

Hmmm, it's such a difficult situation to be in. Having a mind reader as a partner isn't what I would wish for myself. 

Not that I don't appreciate the gift, but hey, I may likely not be comfortable with such a person. Imagine someone prying into your deep thoughts all the time, knowing what you're about to do or say even before you act, ha! Otilo! 🤣

This may cause cause serious strain in the relationship.

Quite unfortunate to have people deceive each other in the name of love, having the gift of reading each other by both partners will really make relationship more fun. It depends on the level you are with your partner and the understanding you share with each other, my mind being an open book wont be a problem if i knew what i was going through, i am really with you on this thought.

Reading mind is hurting not only for one who is being read but for one as well who is reading as well because knowing what our loved ones are feeling about us may be distressing sometimes. Partners must be open book but if they were given the magical power to read each others thoughts then just tussles and arguments will remain between them
