<div class="text-justify">School is sweet, school is fun but school is also bitter and exhausting. When you are away from it, you miss everything; the vibe, your friends, the lectures and everything and then as soon as you resume, and spend a little time, you begin to get tired of everything.

The truth is school is not easy, the stress, the tension, the resources and so on can be so draining. Sometimes, when I reminisce on school, I wonder  how I was able to scale through. 

At some point, it will feel like you  should just give up, at some point you will  feel like you are not going to reach the finishing line but if you make up your mind you will.

There are so many reasons why people don't give up in life and it varies from person to person. Personally, unless a thing is not worth it, no matter the pressure, I do not see giving up as an option.

I have many reasons why I didn't give up on school even though there were challenges and difficulties. One of them was the fact that I am aware that education doesn't just bring transformation, it brings opportunities too.

Back then, school was an advantage, it was more like a direct ticket to getting a job. I didn't come from a well to do family, school seemed to be the only way for me to change the narrative, so I embraced it like my life depends on it.

Whenever I was tempted to quit, each time I remember that going to school has a way of contributing to my destiny, I push the thought aside and keep pushing.

I wanted to become a medical doctor, it was one of my desires as a young person. Without school that wouldn't be a reality, that dream fueled my passion and I didn't even think of quitting at all.

When things didn't work out as planned, I was supposed to quit. My course had changed yet, I didn't see it as a reason to give up. I know that with my certificate I could still get a job or use my knowledge to come up with something and contribute to mankind in another way.

Another reason was that I was aware that everything that has a beginning also has an ending. It is just a matter of time.

So, even when I felt like the journey was tough and discomforting, knowing that one day, I'll be done keeps me going. I won't be going to school forever, one day, I'll graduate, and if that's the case, why give up?

The truth is, I have never thought of giving up while in school, it has never crossed my mind because giving up is not worth it. If you choose that path, at the end of the day, you would be the one regretting it.
