I want to talk about a gross violation of the Geneva war crime convention, which happened in the early morning of the 30th of July, 10 miles east of the frontline in the village of Olenivka (Donetsk oblast). Russians immediately started jumping all over the place and blaming the Kyiv regime for the attack. They also seized an opportunity to share the (prepared) video material, showing what appears to be leftovers of the HIMARS ammo. First of all, keeping POWs so close to the frontline violates the 19th Article of the Third Geneva Convention, making it a war crime. The village of Olenivka is located roughly 10 miles east of the frontline, which means we could easily reach it with any small & medium caliber weapons (for instance, 105mm howitzers), which cost a fraction of a single missile for HIMARS. Olenivka prison is not a mystery for the Ukrainian people. We all know the location thereof very well. It couldn't have been mistaken for an ammo depot for several reasons. We have NATO intelligence on the line 24/7, satellite data in real-time and audiovisual material from that prison.

The Russian media once again failed at deceiving the audience. Take a look at the following fail! The same video material is claimed to be "evidence" (of HIMARS ammo impact) for two cases; one in Olenivka and the other in the region Zaporizhzhia

Here is the thing: HIMARS GMLRS hits the target at a very high speed (to destroy guiding-system components). It easily penetrates the reinforced concrete. The prison in Olenivka has a tin roof... There are no craters on the floor, and the beds remained mostly unmoved. The prison was either blown up from within or hit from close range by a (small) thermobaric weapon, which would explain why there is no crater in the floor nor holes in the walls while everything has burned. Another important detail: no Red Army personnel were wounded.

A blast caused by the detonation of HIMARS ammo would have ripped everyone apart. The explosion in Olenivka was so weak, that the beds didn't move, bricks weren't blown out, and the steel pillar is undamaged. However, there is massive fire damage, exactly what the thermobaric weapon would do (and HIMARS ammo COULDN'T do).
