Probando comida tradicional en un pueblo de Latacunga | Tasting traditional food in a village of Latacunga [ESP-ENG]

Este fin de semana opté por ir a conocer un pueblito de Latacunga- Ecuador, el cual se trata de Cuicuno. La costumbre de las personas  de este pueblo es preparar comida tradicional para las personas religiosas que asisten a la misa. Así que después de ir a meditar en ese tema, se suele ir a degustar comida tradicional como la Tripa mishqui, las tortillas de maíz, los helados de queso, los emborrajados, la colada de zapallo y entre muchos más. 

La realidad es que cuando fui niña, por alguna razón después de salir de misa me sentía muy cansada y con mucha hambre, por ende disfrutar de los refrigerios y comida de la calle era lo máximo. Pues básicamente este recorrido de probando comida callejera, me recordó aquellos momentos, con la diferencia de que ahora no pude comer todo lo que había porque ya no tenía espacio en mi estómago. Pero de todos modos he preparado una pequeña descripción de la comida que he comprado.

# Tripa mishqui

Este es un plato sumamente tradicional en la parte andina de mi país, entonces no podía faltar deleitarme de su sabor tan único. Y está compuesto del intestino de cerdo cocinado en carbón, se acompaña con salsa de maní, mote, papas, ensalada de cebolla y si es de su agrado también se le agrega el ají. La sazón de las tripas mishqui en Cuicuno estaba muy deliciosa, había muchas personas comprando este plato y el olor que generaba hacía que aumente el apetito. El precio de este plato fue de  $1,50.

And it is composed of pork intestine cooked in charcoal, accompanied with peanut sauce, corn, potatoes, onion salad and if you like you can also add the chili. # Las tortillas de maíz

Definitivamente, tienen que probar estas tortillas, fue lo más delicioso que encontré. Estas tortillas tienen mucha historia y su receta ha pasado de generaciones en generaciones. La cocción de las tortillas deben hacerse mediante leña, porque es el toque especial que les hace únicas y codiciadas, en esta ocasión compre 7 tortillas por un dólar.

# Emborrajados
 
Debo decir que los emborrajados me quedaron debiendo un poco, ya que hay muchas formas de prepararse. Sin embargo, no le quita lo delicioso y la creativa presentación que tuvieron. De igual forma que las tortillas nos dieron 7 emborrajados por un dólar. Esta comida contiene maduro, harina y azúcar.

# Helados 

Los helados tampoco pueden faltar en un recorrido de comida callejera. Decidí probar dos tipos de helados: uno ácido que está compuesto de mango rallado, maracuyá, limón y sal. La verdad es que me encantó porque tenía un sabor agridulce y frutas que morder. El otro helado contenía queso fresco rallado, cono de galleta y sabores de fresa, chocolate y vainilla a tan solo un dólar.
>Ice cream is also a must on a street food tour. I decided to try two types of ice cream: an acidic one made of grated mango, passion fruit, lemon and salt. The truth is that I loved it because it had a sweet and sour taste and fruits to bite into. The other ice cream contained grated fresh cheese, cookie cone and strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavors at only a dollar.

Cuicuno es un lugar muy representativo de la ciudad, no solo por la variedad de comida, sino porque también suele haber danzas y artistas de la región, (todo esto está disponible los domingos). Estuvo muy divertido, lamento no haber probado la colada de zapallo y el caldo del 31, otros platos típicos; la razón fue porque sentí que me iba a enfermar si mezclaba más sabores. Será en una próxima semana para seguir compartiendo platos típicos y sobre todo que estén al alcance todos si alguna vez se atreven a visitarme.

No sabía que los helados de queso no existían en Venezuela jj podría ser un nuevo emprendimiento la verdad es una combinación muy buena.

Caramba amiga, mucho fue que pudistes comer todo eso. Eres de las mías, de las que les gusta comer bastante jejeje. 

Todo se ve delicioso. 

Pero bien raro esos sabores de helado, sobre todo lo del queso. Seria bueno probarlos a ver que tal. 

Y si cuando uno va a misa o a cementerio siempre hay hambre jejeje.

Si comí tanto que hoy solo pase tomando batidos verdes jjj. Me gusta comer bastante  si, pero mi cuerpo no es de los que comen y no engordan 🤩. Así que también trato de cuidarme.

Los helados de queso resultaron ser novedosos aquí en Hive, puedes prepararles para tu familia no te arrepentirás. Acá es muy común los helados con queso fresco.

Fuera una maravilla comer y comer de todo y no engordar tanto, que bueno por los que si son así.

Espero con muchas ganas tu próxima visita @enclassecu, a ese y a cualquier otro pueblito en donde nos muestres la comida típica, a mí me encaaaanta tener referencias de gente local sobre la gastronomía de su país, es la mejor forma (para mí) de entender la cultura y viajar de verdad jajaja

Por cuestión de distancia sobre todo no tengo planeado visitar tu país pronto pero me encanta hacerlo a través de tus experiencias, he probado algo de la comida de allá en algún local de ecuatorianos en España y tengo gratos recuerdos.

Todo lo que has mostrado me parece muy tentador, definitivamente mi primer objetivo serían es tortillas de maíz pero conociéndome las utilizaría de acompañamiento a los demás platos, tipo pan jajaja ¿Las tortillas llevan algo de queso?

Los helados con queso me llaman demasiado la atención, me encanta el queso y com postre siempre es una buena combinación, hay que saber hacerlo pero funciona muy bien.

Todo se ve súper bueno, es curioso que los mismos elementos los usemos en otros países de Latinoamérica para hacer comidas típicas tan diferentes pero que son el resultado de como nuestros predecesores decidieron combinarlos a su manera.

¡Ah! y además de todo, es súper barato, entiendo que la StreetFood siempre es accesible pero de verdad que me parece muy muy barato, ¡más puntos a favor!

Hola @ninaeatshere, si las tortillas de maíz llevan queso derretido, son muy buenas de verdad te las recomiendo. En Europa las personas comen el pan con la comida es muy interesante jj pero estas tortillas si quedarían muy bien, como aderezo.

Gracias por interesarte en la comida ecuatoriana de la parte sierra ya que en la costa es muy diferente. 

Los helados con queso es de mi favorito no me gusta mucho el dulce, así que el queso le da un sabor especial.

A mí también me encanta visitar pueblitos, conocer su gastronomía que por lo general es muy antigua las recetas. Hay muchos más lugares que tengo pendiente, cuando te animes a visitar con todo gusto sería tu guía o te recomendaría lugares.

La mayoría de lo que presentas en tu post no lo he probado , me imagino que debe ser bastante sabroso , lo que si probaría a ojo cerrado es el helado con queso , sin remordimientos, lo otro si lo pensaría un poco

El helado de queso ah sido muy novedoso en Hive jjj pero dónde vivo es muy común,  espero puedas animarte a probar esa combinación, te lo recomiendo 😊.

Por lo demás si te entiendo, también suelo dudar de la comida de la calle por eso soy muy selectiva pero en esta ocasión todo muy bien 👌.
