He sentido un incremento del amor a mi pasión en los últimos meses y quiero compartirles que se siente o que se ha sentido para mi estar en algunas bandas; ligado a mis experiencias, momentos y a esos tragos amargos que implican ser parte de algo de este estilo.  Yo en lo particular solo he participado en bandas de rock y por un breve momento estuve en una banda de reggae pop, pero el día de hoy contare solo acerca de las bandas de rock que son a las que mas he tenido oportunidad de participar. Usualmente las personas escuchan cuando escuchan que estoy en un a banda de rock reaccionan de dos maneras: - Me ven raro porque toco rock. - O les gusta el rock y piensa que vivo una vida de rockstar. Honestamente la vida cliché de rockstar me parece tonta, vivir en excesos, sin buen descanso y arriesgado tu salud por fingir algo que no eres para mi no tiene sentido, pero en fin, volviendo al tema principal que es lo que hay de trasfondo en estar en una banda... Hay cosas que a primera vista no se ven pero como músicos vivimos en un aprendizaje constante y debemos perseverar en la practica del instrumento o los instrumentos que ejecutemos, cualquier genero tiene complejidad hasta el que tu consideres mas sencillo, el rock no es la excepción independientemente seas una banda de covers o una banda compositora de temas originales.    En el escenario se ve reflejado todas las cosas que ensayaste, las horas que dedicaste a las canciones que te aprendiste, tus movimientos en el escenario, que configuraciones utilizaras en tus instrumentos (en mi caso que tonos utilizare y que cantidad de Reversa, delay, brillo etc, necesitare). Los movimientos en el escenario si bien puede ser improvisados la mejor opción es aunque sea ensayarlos un poco porque no todos nacen con ese don de ser el showman impecable, diría que una de las pocas personas que nació con esto es el famoso Freddy Mercury. </div> </div> <div class="text-justify"> <div class="pull-right"> Hello again lovers of music art and good times here at Hive. Honestly the cliché rockstar life seems silly to me, living in excess, without good rest and risking your health by pretending something you are not makes no sense to me, but anyway, back to the main topic, what is the background of being in a band? There are things that at first glance are not seen but as musicians we live in a constant learning process and we must persevere in the practice of the instrument or instruments we play, any genre has complexity even the one you consider simpler, rock is no exception regardless of whether you are a cover band or a band composer of original songs.    On stage is reflected all the things you rehearsed, the hours you dedicated to the songs you learned, your movements on stage, what settings you will use in your instruments (in my case what tones I will use and what amount of Reverse, delay, brightness etc, I will need). Yo siempre comparo estar en una banda con un matrimonio, entre estas dos situaciones se relaciona una palabra ***COMPROMISO***. Ser parte de una banda es ser parte de un equipo de trabajo en el cual tienes que respetar las opiniones de cada uno, considerar las condiciones personales que esta persona vive (trasporte, economía, personalidad etc), no ser victima de nuestro propio ego cosa que tristemente es común entre músicos básicamente mantenernos humildes, imparciales pero sin dejarnos hacer sentir inferior por algún otro miembro de este equipo.  A lo largo de mi carrera como músico he vivido dos cosas muy distinta, precisamente con una de las primeras bandas en la que estuve y en la banda en la que hoy me encuentro. En la primera banda que estuve era detenida constantemente por el miedo de alguno de los miembros ya que para poder realizar cualquier lanzamiento de nuestra música original siempre implicaba perfeccionar muchísimo el proyecto y nunca se concluía una estrategia definida para promocionarnos correctamente, es hasta irónico como en una de las bandas que me encuentro actualmente no tardamos mucho para crear, grabar, promocionar y lanzar un tema del cual me siento bastante conforme, entendí que a veces es mejor simplemente hacer las cosas sin tanto temor del que dirán y sobre todo siendo nosotros mismos, cada quien aportando su granito de arena para crear algo en conjunto. En los lanzamientos también ves reflejado todas esas horas de ensayo, días de composición, momentos de inspiración y hasta errores cometidos pero bueno solo atraviendonos sabremos si gustamos, también aprendí que una banda se debe crear con cierto objetivo no importa si grande o si pequeño pero si con una meta definida para alcanzarla y en el camino seguir trazando nuevas. Para mi y creo que para muchos que viven de esta forma saben que estar en una banda es un trabajo donde tus reportes son las canciones que ensayas y ejecutas, necesitas un conocimiento previo para saber que puedes comprender una idea musical, necesitas también conocer un poco acerca de las relaciones interpersonales, tener paciencia con quienes la requieras, ser humilde así tengas 30 años practicando todos los días y sobre todo ser sincero con lo que quieres porque recuerda que te estas ***CASANDO*** y este matrimonio requiere de tu ***COMPROMISO***. I always compare being in a band with a marriage, between these two situations there is a word ***COMPROMISE***. Being part of a band is being part of a team in which you have to respect each other's opinions, consider the personal conditions that this person lives (transportation, economy, personality etc), not be a victim of our own ego which is sadly common among musicians, basically keep humble, impartial but without being made to feel inferior by any other member of this team.  Throughout my career as a musician I have experienced two very different things, precisely with one of the first bands I was in and the band I am in today. In the first band I was in I was constantly stopped by the fear of some of the members because in order to make any release of our original music always involved perfecting a lot of the project and never concluded a defined strategy to promote us properly, it is even ironic how in one of the bands that I am currently not take long to create, record, promote and release a song of which I feel quite happy, I understood that sometimes it is better to just do things without much fear of what people will say and above all being ourselves, each contributing their bit to create something together. In the releases you also see reflected all those hours of rehearsal, days of composition, moments of inspiration and even mistakes made but well only by going through them we will know if we like it, I also learned that a band should be created with a certain objective no matter if big or small but with a defined goal to achieve it and on the way to continue tracing new ones. For me and I think for many who live this way know that being in a band is a job where your reports are the songs you rehearse and perform, you need a previous knowledge to know that you can understand a musical idea, you also need to know a little about interpersonal relationships, have patience with those who require it, be humble even if you have 30 years practicing every day and above all be honest with what you want because remember that you are ***MARRIED*** and this marriage requires your ***COMPROMISE***.
