Is it possible to avoid awkward silences when dialoguing?

One of the characteristics that separates us from the rest of the living beings, is that we can speak, emit words and create coherent sentences to communicate with clarity, we constantly dialogue with those who are next to us, and sometimes, some very uncomfortable pauses occur, which cut all kinds of dialogue, would it be possible to correct these uncomfortable pauses?

In general, these pauses come at any time we are talking to any person, maybe we are not in the mood to talk, so we must neutralize our discouragement, the other person may not know what is happening to us, and the other thing, talking will do us good if something happens to us. 

Almost always when we have just met a person, it is difficult for us to engage in a continuous conversation, for fear of exposing ourselves to a stranger and vice versa, a tactic that gives good results is to make compliments of the other person to break the ice. 

When we are dialoguing we should not be afraid to express our opinion, with a lot of respect so as not to make our interlocutor uncomfortable and cause those uncomfortable pauses, be fluid in our dialogue and allow the other person to give his opinion, understand that it is not a monologue, people also love to be listened to.

Dialogues have to accept diversity of opinions, otherwise it would cease to be a dialogue, it is logical that in every conversation there will be pauses, we should not be afraid of these pauses, what is necessary is to avoid that they are prolonged, taking into account what has been pointed out before.
