The global block producer community is an expansive group of passionate individuals who have a single goal in mind - launch the EOS network. A Block Producer is a global group by default. It knows no borders and it has no limits. It does not matter where a Block Producer is located because we all answer to the global community in every language.

Even though we are scattered across the world rooted in many languages and cultures it is time we come together. 

EOS New York calls out to all block producers on every social media, message board, chat room, and channel, to join us on in [Block Pros telegram channel](https://t.me/EOSPros) so that we can organize into groups, practice launching the network, and make EOS a reality. 

There are currently three groups which will each practice the network launch. It's important that every block producer that wishes to participate in the launch join a group in order to understand the snapshot process and the BIOS process. [But ultimately, being an appointed block producer](https://medium.com/eosio/bios-boot-eosio-blockchain-2b58b8a978a1) does not guarantee a position as a producer or standby node. Once elections are activated **it will not matter who the appointed block producers were**, only who the token holders elect thereafter.

Here are the current groups. They were formed randomly by @eosgo based on their block producer report. Any block producer who had all checkmarks were included.

These are only initial groups. Aren't in one? Don't worry. In order to join a group you should complete the following:

1. Launch and host a single node test net

4. Any member of your launch group will verify that you've properly launched a single node. 
5. Done!
