Although this orchid plant is recognized as belonging to the Philippines, this ornamental flower plant also has significant growth coverage in Indonesia. This Larat Orchid flower is known as the Cooktown Orchid and has the scientific name Dendrobium bigibbum

This type of orchid plant is quite easy to find in Indonesia, almost the average orchid plant owned by people in Indonesia is the Larat Orchid, even Maluku province is one of the provinces that protects this plant with their regional laws.

This Cooktown orchid is one of the oldest collections of orchids that I have, it can be said that it is the first orchid species I have and now has provided several grafts for other plants.
