Orchid plants are still charming and make you fall in love many times with this ornamental plant. This time I will share one of my orchid plant collections with my Hive Blog friends.

In Indonesia, we call it the Moon Orchid, or also the Moon Orchid, so the world community is more familiar with this type of orchid as the Bee Orchid or Moth Orchid.

This month's orchid is a derivative of Phalaenopsis, which was first discovered by a Dutch botanist, Dr. C.L. Blume.

Phalaenopsis itself is a Latin language which has a combination of meanings, namely; Phalaina means bee or butterfly, while opsis means beautiful or beautiful appearance and amabilis.

In my country, Indonesia, this plant is one of the things that has been acclaimed as "Puspa Pesona". It accompanies the Jasmine flower (Jasminum sambac) which is designated as the puspa of the Indonesian nation and the giant lotus (Rafflesia arnoldii) as the rare Indonesian puspa. Tanaman Anggrek tetap saja mempesona dan membuat kamu jatuh cinta berkali-kali pada tanaman hias yang satu ini. Kali ini saya akan membagikan salah satu koleksi tanaman anggrek saya bersama teman-teman Hive Blog.

Di Indonesia, kami menyebutnya Anggrek Bulan, atau disebut juga Moon Orchid, pun begitu masyarakat dunia lebih mengenal Anggrek jenis ini dengan sebutan Anggrek Lebah atau Moth Orchid.

Anggrek bulan ini merupakan turunan dari Phalaenopsis,  yang pertama kali ditemukan oleh seorang ahli botani Belanda, Dr. C.L. Blume. 

Phalaenopsis itu sendiri merupakan bahasa latin yang memiliki penggabungan makna, yaitu; Phalaina berarti lebah atau kupu-kupu, sedangkan opsis artinya penampakan dan amabilis cantik atau indah.

Di negara saya Indonesia, tanaman ini merupakan salah satu yang dimakbulkan sebagai "Puspa Pesona", Ia mendampingi bunga Melati (Jasminum sambac) yang ditetapkan sebagai puspa bangsa Indonesia dan padma raksasa (Rafflesia arnoldii)  sebagai puspa langka Indonesia.
