I come from the fifties, but when I read your post, it was not so different in the early seventies for a small child.
Watching your watch was rude because it showed impatience to the person you were talking to and it told something like: I've spoken to you long enough and I want to leave. That is why it was 'forbidden' in my youth, but also in adult life. I am looking forward to more stories from you.

Now everyone has a Smartphone, communication is so easy but nobody communicates with each other, everyone is busy with their Smartphone. Maybe 10 years ago, when we (Family or Friends) all gather for an occasion, everyone talk to each other, laugh, we eat together.There is so much fun in there.But now every thing is gone.Now everyones everything is Social Media & their Smartphone.

@ericvancewalton reading your snippets of life memories really brings back a lot of fond ones of my own childhood. It's easy to understand why many people refer to the *good old days*. It has more to do with a fond recollection of their youth than the times they lived in. 

Thanks a bunch. You've really helped me with my writing and mostly inspired me to write and venture out beyond just poems into writing stories of my own. Thanks!

I'd have helped this project with some upvotes but it's not worth anything at the moment.

Your memories was awesome. Everyone has many sweet memories in their childhood. Today your story remembering me a lot of story of my childhood. But memory was so sharp to remembering those memories. 
I have a doubt to identify you in that picture, can you please clear that ?

Nice to read your memories @ericvancewalton and how sad that now that we have all the tools of communication, we don't actually communicate fully! I really enjoyed going back in time, life was so different then, will be sharing more, thank you for the opportunity!

I'm also see this situation. With laptops and smart phones children leave from their relation's love. Children must needed love. But they find love through social medias. It not deserve and I cannot accept it. Thank you for giving your story to us.

Indeed, in the 70s. It's quite another time, I also waited for the same when my older sister reads my book before going to bed. Now, looking at my children, I see that they read only what they ask in school. Maybe it's my fault that I was not vaccinated they love the books. Although I think this generation of smartphones :) Interesting post. Thanks for sharing.

you hardly remember what  you were talking about because while talking  your whole attention is on these mobile devices
people dont know how to speak wholeheartedly anymore

Lovely photographs.Family is the most important thing in the world.I think you are right about sharing each other experience and point of view to others can afford us the opportunity to reach a deeper and richer understanding of our place in the world. In some circumstances it can bring us closer to the truth than we were before.

Great read and I agree, not only people paying attention but service when you do business with someone.  

There are people getting phone watches now, well you see what is here and at least you know about human connections, some will never know the blessing of connecting with another human soul on a conscious level.  I call them robots and others refer to them as digital heads.  lol

The great awakening is still here for many.

This is really great and I have resteemed so.i cam come back to it but towards the tail end of your post you got me a bit confused. We have always been told that the ***first tag*** is the most important tag and for that must not be changed because that's what defects more what you have written but you just said otherwise by saying its the last tag...pls can you clarify us on this?
