Hive Stock Images - Postal Stamps

Today I came across some stamps and I thought why not take a few photos,  as there's no stamp photo in Stock Images. These stamps were mostly issued by the Romanian Post Office, before 1989. 

When we were kids, we used to go to the philatelic club, where they were selling these stamps. There were packs of 25 or 50, can't remember exactly, all marked previously, so you could not use them to post a letter for example. These had little value, but as kids, these were very valuable for us. Many times happened to get duplicates or even more of the same, in which case we swapped those with the other kids in the neighborhood.  

The Romanian Post Office used to issue series of stamps for different events, that's why you're going to see some interesting ones.

These are traditional Romanian motifs used on cloths.

Flowers are always welcome, look nice on an envelope, not to mention there's the species name on the stamp too, so you can learn from it as well.

This may surprise a few people as it's not every day that you see stamps like these. Romania had a communist era, with a very strong propaganda, part of which was issuing stamps with communist theme.
