I am not sure of the demographics in Sweden. 

If they are an older population, they might find some resistance to purely digital money.

But if they are that far along, obviously most embraced it already.

The difference between Sweeden and other countries is that in Sweden use of cash has dropped so much that digital currency is needed. Other countries are far from it.

I would say China too. Before crypto, cashless payments through wechat pay for example were already widespread.
Plenty of places just don’t take cash anymore but those wechat pay.

Going cashless means the central bank of the country issuing digital currency and controlling all the wallets. That is full centralization. 

We're not talking about adopting cryptocurrency, that is a totally different matter.
