Curation. How can u earn $700 a post and how does it work.

Lately, we have seen some incredible results for people who were in need.  The MRI post got over $10k USD and that's great. A lot of money for a good cause. I'm really happy that this community not only tries to better their selves but also want to help out each other.

Now, there is one question I've noticed a lot of people have. How does curation work in detail? We hear a lot of things here and there and there are some so-so explanations. I think a lot of steemians in the community could really use a proper explanation because they love steem, put a lot of effort towards it but can't figour out how it works.

Interesting question.  I don't know the answer but will certainly resteemed it in the hope we can get an explanation.  I have an extra interrogation: where are our data stored ?  Probably on the blockchain, but where is it physically stored ?  Big companies servers ?  Steemit servers ?  On blockchain based server like Storj or another player ?
