OpenAI's ChatGPT has been gaining popularity as it has been offering vareity of the AI utilities under single umbrella. Be it audio, video, text based output has been in offer by the ChatGPTs variety of models. OpenAI is not the only service out there. Many other services are slowly rolling out their own models and the dataset for the fixed set of the price. A lot of consumers are kind of confused which of the services are good for their use case. In such case finding the right AI service for the use case is going to be tough job as the AI services increase in the market. So I thought why not just compare the multiple AI services which I have tried in the past. Let's talk about the comparison of the AI tools and services and deduct which is a good service for consumers. ---  --- ### Gemini AI Service --- Google started their journey with the Bard AI service. Then they decided to club the Google cloud's Gemini service and then made it the front runner service. They have the free and the premium offering of the AI service. They offer the text based output as of now in the free service. I have not seen them offering the audio and the image output as of now and they are far away from the video output. Most of the text output too have some of the strong restrictions and that makes the gemini one of the difficult service to buy. They are good with data set creation and also it would be easier to copy paste output for CSV, Excel too. But there seems to be not much output for the audio and video. So we are kind of restricted on that part. They too have 20 dollar a month premium but it's not yet matured or worth paying for. ### ChatGPT AI Service --- Most of us are already using them. They seem to have pretty powerful AI service even for the free version. Though image, video and audio are locked in the walled garden in the premium service. Like you have to pay 20 dollar for the generative content in other formats too. So it's a good premium which pays off if your work involves in that domain. OpenAI brings new feature and the premium users immediately get access. Plus you can get all the features through the premium add ons too. So it all depends on where and how much you wish to extract from. So the premium is totally worth it. Compared to the gemini, this one is lot better because they know what they are offering and things they wish to build upon. If you are a consumer or developer or even a blogger, openAI is lot better option. ### Perplexity AI Service --- ChatGPTs alternative in a way, it can make use of the other AI services like claude, ChatGPT and others. It kind of collects multiple models and gives you answers. It is not yet much on the other formats in free version. But for the paid users they can offer more answers and also they have more features in the paid usage. But that would be of same cost as the OpenAI. I feel the way the answers come in from the Perplexity, you won't be finding the AI service worth usage. As the service does not have the ChatGPT level output like say the audio and video. It can mimic the data and gets trained itself. But overall I would say that they are kind of like shopping mall they allow multiple brands to coexist in the same place. So it's worth it once all tools mature. --- As of now only ChatGPT is worth paying. And with the audio and the video output along with the Dall E service, I would say they are worth paying if you are into the content creation service.
