<center><h3>¡Hola Chicos!</h3></center>

Hoy les traigo una actualización de cómo nos ha ido con nuestro nuevo gatito Meow. Como les comenté hace algunos días, mi hijo y yo rescatamos un gatito de la calle y lo trajimos a casa para cuidarlo y darle un nuevo hogar. 

Ha sido una aventura completamente diferente a cómo fue nuestros inicios con Simba, nuestro otro gato que ya tiene 3 años con nosotros. Este gatito aunque llegó bien "bajito" y tranquilo, a medida que iba ganando confianza y sintiéndose más a gusto con nosotros, iba a sacando una personalidad bastante enérgica y juguetona. 

Era bien chistoso verlo montado en lados que nunca imaginamos podría alcanzar, yo lo bauticé SpiderCat 😂.

Los primeros días él estuvo acá dentro de casa y lo sacábamos de vez en cuando para hacer sus necesidades, pero estaba ocurriendo algo que no nos gustaba. Cuando no lo veíamos se estaba metiendo debajo del refrigerador a hacer pipí, y por ser un espacio tan reducido era difícil sacarlo de ahí, pues el pensaba que estábamos jugando y se escondía. 

Y si a esto le sumamos que el pipí de los gatitos es bastante fuerte, comienza a ser un tanto caótica la cosa porque era bien difícil limpiar sus "travesuras".

Esto nos llevó a limitar un poco su estadía dentro de la casa, en lo que aprendía a que adentro de la casa no se hacían esas cosas y avisaba, como lo hace Simba.

Igual siempre estamos saliendo al patio de la casa, mi esposo siempre que sale a fumarse un cigarrillo lo llama y no esta casi tiempo solo, al igual que sacamos a Simba para que le haga compañía.

Today I bring you an update on how we have been doing with our new kitten Meow. As I told you a few days ago, my son and I rescued a kitten from the street and brought him home to care for him and give him a new home. 

It has been a completely different adventure from our beginnings with Simba, our other cat who has been with us for 3 years now. This kitten although he arrived very "short" and quiet, as he was gaining confidence and feeling more comfortable with us, he was bringing out a very energetic and playful personality. 

It was very funny to see him riding in places we never imagined he could reach, I baptized him SpiderCat 😂.

The first few days he was here indoors and we would take him out from time to time to do his business, but something was happening that we didn't like. When we didn't see him he was getting under the refrigerator to pee, and because it was such a small space it was difficult to get him out of there, because he thought we were playing and he hid. 

And if we add to this the fact that kittens pee is quite strong, it starts to be a bit chaotic because it was very difficult to clean up his "mischief".

This led us to limit a bit his stay inside the house, while he was learning that inside the house those things were not allowed and he would warn us, as Simba does.

We are always going out to the backyard, my husband always calls him when he goes out to smoke a cigarette and he is almost never alone, and we take Simba out to keep him company.

El quinto día en la noche, la vecina de al lado me vino a reclamar que Meow estaba yéndose a su casa y que había encontrado en repetidas ocasiones heces de gato frente a su puerta. 

Yo estaba segura que ni Meow ni Simba eran responsables de estas heces, pues ellos tienen un espacio en especifico para hacerlo y al menos Simba no pisa esa casa, pues le tiene pavor a los niños y en esa casa hay 3 niños. 

Ahora de lo que si era culpable Meow era de irse para allá, pero era primera vez que pasaba porque está conociendo y es normal. Pero mis dos gatitos no son los únicos en la calle, hay muchos más. Pienso que esta vecina solo tenía ganas de buscar un culpable donde sea y para mi mala suerte Meow había visitado su casa.

Esto me dejó con un sabor amargo y algo triste por ese odio sin sentido que le tiene la gente a los gatos. Yo teniendo gato me he dado cuenta que a pesar de que ellos puedan ser algo traviesos, tienen mucho amor para dar a las personas. Hablando con mi vecino del frente que también tiene gatos, me comentó que a uno de sus gatitos lo habían envenenado y tenía un mes luchando por su vida. 😔

Al otro día yo había amanecido con un dolor de cabeza terrible. Desperté como a las 7 am a tomarme una pastilla y en ese momento escuché a Meow llamando a la puerta, pero con el dolor no tenía ánimos de nada. Me fui a acostar nuevamente y al despertar dos horas después salí a buscarlo.

Por más que busqué en toda la casa y sus alrededores no lo encontré. Había desaparecido... 💔

On the fifth day in the evening, the next door neighbor came to me to complain that Meow was going to her house and that she had repeatedly found cat feces in front of her door. 

I was sure that neither Meow nor Simba were responsible for these feces, because they have a specific space to do it and at least Simba does not step on that house, because he is afraid of children and in that house there are 3 children. 

Now, what Meow was guilty of was to go there, but it was the first time it happened because he is getting to know and it is normal. But my two kittens are not the only ones in the street, there are many more. I think that this neighbor just wanted to look for a culprit anywhere and to my bad luck Meow had visited her house.

This left me with a bitter and sad taste because of the senseless hatred people have for cats. Having a cat myself I have come to realize that even though they can be a bit naughty, they have a lot of love to give to people. Talking to my neighbor across the street who also has cats, he told me that one of his kittens had been poisoned and had been fighting for his life for a month. 😔

The next day I had woken up with a terrible headache. I woke up around 7 am to take a pill and at that moment I heard Meow knocking at the door, but with the pain I was in no mood for anything. I went to bed again and when I woke up two hours later I went out to look for him.

No matter how hard I looked in and around the house, I couldn't find him. He had disappeared.... 💔

Estaba desesperada, con un dolor horrible en el pecho. Solo recordaba cuando me estaba llamando y no le abrí la puerta. 😭

Caminé por toda la calle llamándolo pero no tuve suerte. Solo recordaba a mi vecina reclamando el día anterior y tenía una fuerte sospecha de que ellos pudieron llevárselo y dejarlo en otro lado para que no volviera a su casa.

Pregunté a mis vecinos, pero no tuve éxito. Al caer la noche me resigné... fue horrible.

Pero de repente escuchamos que llamaban, era el niño de al lado trayendo a Meow. Mi hijo salió corriendo a buscarlo y no podíamos con la emoción. ♥♥

Esta foto la tomé justo cuando mi hijo entro con él a casa. Esa noche no queríamos separarnos de él. Estaba súper nervioso, se notaba que había pasado un día difícil pero estaba feliz por haber vuelto. 

Durmió con nosotros toda la noche. Cuando desperté lo encontré así, enrollado junto a mi esposo. ♥

I was desperate, with a horrible pain in my chest. I only remembered when he was calling me and I didn't open the door for him. 😭

I walked all over the street calling for him but had no luck. I only remembered my neighbor claiming the day before and I had a strong suspicion that they might have taken him and left him somewhere else so he wouldn't return home.

I asked my neighbors, but to no avail. As night fell I resigned myself... it was horrible.

But suddenly we heard a knock, it was the boy next door bringing Meow. My son ran out to get him and we couldn't handle the excitement. ♥♥

I took this picture just as my son walked in the house with him. That night we didn't want to be separated from him. He was super nervous, you could tell he had a rough day but he was happy to be back. 

He slept with us all night. When I woke up I found him like this, curled up next to my husband. ♥

Desde entonces no se ha vuelto a escapar, hoy cumple tres semanas en casa y cada vez se adapta más a nosotros y nuestra manera de hacer las cosas.

Sigue teniendo sus pequeños accidentes dentro de casa pero lo hemos estado educando para que no lo haga y ha tenido resultados, algo lentos pero ahí vamos. 

Sabemos que es un bebé aún y debe aprender a hacer bien las cosas. 

Adora estar siempre con nosotros, sobre todo no respeta el espacio personal de nadie. Sigue con la costumbre de montársenos encima, no importa que esto implique ponerte su rabo en la cara. 😅😂

En el próximo post de Meow les contaré como va la convivencia con Simba, cosa que no ha sido fácil pero vamos avanzando.🐱

Since then he has not escaped again, today he is three weeks at home and he is adapting more and more to us and our way of doing things.

He still has his little accidents at home but we have been educating him not to do it and he has had results, a little slow but there we go. 

We know he is still a baby and must learn to do things right. 

He loves to be always with us, above all he doesn't respect anyone's personal space. He is still in the habit of riding us, no matter if it means putting his tail in your face. 😅😂

In Meow's next post I will tell you how living with Simba is going, which has not been easy but we are making progress.🐱
