<center><h3>¡Hola Chicos!</h3></center>

En mi clase de repostería de esta semana preparamos dos grandes pasteles, el red velvet y este que vengo a compartirles hoy, un delicioso pastel de zanahoria. 

Recuerdo que la primera vez que lo probé fue en casa de mi abuela, una tía lo había preparado y llevó para compartir con toda la familia. En mi pequeña cabecita no cabía la idea de colocar un vegetal como la zanahoria en un pastel y al probarlo quedé sorprendida y enamorada. 

Desde entonces he intentado hacer varios que cuenten con ese mismo sabor, y aunque tenían buen sabor, ningún como el que probé en aquel entonces. 

Al hacer esta receta quedé sorprendida porque era como lo recordaba y sin dudarlo documenté todito el proceso para tenerlo de referencia y por supuesto compartirlo con ustedes. 

Así que mejor vayamos a los ingredientes y el paso a paso para que juntos preparemos este delicioso pastel de zanahoria.

In my baking class this week we prepared two great cakes, the red velvet and this one that I come to share with you today, a delicious carrot cake. 

I remember the first time I tasted it was at my grandmother's house, an aunt had prepared it and took it to share with the whole family. In my little head there was no room for the idea of putting a vegetable like carrots in a cake and when I tasted it I was surprised and in love. 

Since then I have tried to make several that have the same flavor, and although they tasted good, none like the one I tried back then. 

When I made this recipe I was surprised because it was just as I remembered it and without hesitation I documented the whole process to have it as a reference and of course share it with you. 

So let's get to the ingredients and the step by step so that together we can prepare this delicious carrot cake.

* 125 gr de margarina repostera
* 125 gr de margarina Mavesa
* 500 gr de azúcar
* 6 huevos
* 500 gramos de harina de trigo
* 1 taza y 1/2 de leche de larga duración
* 2 tazas de zanahoria rallada
* 1/2 cucharada de canela en polvo
* 3 cucharadas de vinagre
* 1 cucharadita de bicarbonato
* 2 cucharadas de esencia de nata o mantecado

Para el relleno:

* 400 gr de margarina repostera
* 100 gr de queso crema
* 1 kg de azúcar pulverizada
* 2 cucharadas de esencia de nata
* 200 gr de nueces

* 500 grams of wheat flour
* 1 1/2 cups of long-life milk

* 1 teaspoon of baking soda
* 2 tablespoons cream or shortening essence 
* 1 teaspoon baking soda

For the filling:

* 400 gr pastry margarine
* 100 gr cream cheese
* 1 kg of powdered sugar
* 2 tablespoons of cream essence
* 200 gr of walnuts

Comenzamos cremando la margarina junto el azúcar. La mezclaremos con una batidora de mano o una paleta. Debemos dejarla bien cremosa.

We start by creaming the margarine with the sugar. We will mix it with a hand mixer or a paddle. It should be very creamy.

Los huevos lo vamos a separar, por un lado vamos a ir integrando a la mezcla las yemas y las claras debemos batirlas a punto de nieve y reservar.

Colocamos al esencia y diluimos muy bien el azúcar antes de continuar.

We are going to separate the eggs, on one side we are going to integrate the yolks to the mixture and the egg whites we must beat them until stiff and set aside.

We put to the essence and dilute the sugar very well before continuing.

Por otro lado vamos a mezclar la leche junto al vinagre y dejaremos reposar hasta que se corte.

La harina la tamizamos y mezclamos con la canela en polvo.

On the other hand we are going to mix the milk with the vinegar and let it stand until it is cut.

Sift the flour and mix it with the cinnamon powder.

Luego agregaremos una taza de la leche con vinagre y batimos muy bien para terminar de diluir el azúcar. 

Con una paleta de goma retiramos todo lo que se ha pegado en los bordes para que se integre bien.

Then add a cup of the milk with vinegar and beat very well to finish diluting the sugar. 

With a rubber paddle we remove everything that has stuck to the edges so that it integrates well.

Agregamos toda la harina de golpe, batimos primero con un batidor de mano y luego reforzamos con la batidora eléctrica. 

Estamos listos para agregarle la zanahoria. 

Mezclamos todo muy bien, procurando no sobrebatir la mezcla.

Add all the flour at once, beat first with a hand mixer and then reinforce with the electric mixer. 

We are ready to add the carrot. 

We mix everything very well, trying not to overbeat the mixture.

Agregamos las claras, que como les dije, fueron batidas a punto de nieve, y se integran con movimientos envolventes.

Add the egg whites, which as I told you, were beaten until stiff, and integrate with wrapping movements.

Agregamos la mezcla a un molde previamente engrasado y enharinado y llevamos al horno por unos 45 minutos o hasta que al introducir un palillo salga completamente limpio.

Add the mixture to a greased and floured baking pan and bake in the oven for about 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out completely clean.

Para rellenar y cubrir el pastel vamos a hacer un frosting de queso crema mezclando queso crema, margarina repostera y azúcar pulverizada. 

Al tener todo bien mezclado vamos a picar nuestro pastel a la mitad, el cual ya debe estar frío y cubrimos toda la superficie el pastel con el frosting. 

Luego colocamos la otra tapa del pastel y procedemos a cubrir y decorar.

To fill and cover the cake we are going to make a cream cheese frosting by mixing cream cheese, margarine and powdered sugar. 

Once everything is well mixed, we are going to cut our cake in half, which should already be cold and cover the entire surface of the cake with the frosting. 

Then we place the other lid of the cake and proceed to cover and decorate.

Esa torta se ve realmente buena, son pocas las veces que he probado una torta de zanahorias pero se que si son muy ricas y esas que hicieron se ven espectaculares. Gran trabajo.
