After the Strange man leaves Paul's apartment, he makes a call to his employer using a burner phone. 

*"Is it done?"* 

*"Yes, as you requested. Send my cookies immediately."*

*"I will do that right away. Thank you for your services Boot. I will testify of this to the 'The Celestial Council'"*

*"Good"*

With that, he ends the call, stumps on the phone and crushes it with his boot, and disposes of it into a sewage opening. 

The Celestial Council is a group of dangerous elite men who see themselves as the law, above the law, and rule over the world with their wealth. This group has been in existence since the 1700s. The group is headed by a supreme council consisting of ten families who make sure that their positions and seats stay within their family bloodlines even if it means they breed within their family. Their code is *"Sedes manet in sanguine"* which interprets as *"Seat stays within the bloodline"*. 

This group is well recognized all over the world for its wealth. If one is to dig deeper into how their wealth came to be, one would find out that the source of their wealth is a tangled web of illegal and nefarious activities. However, Boot was taken by the council at a young age to become part of their small group of deadly assassins known as *"Umbra."*

The council takes children from a young age, either by kidnapping them or they get them through orphanage homes. They are trained well and when they come of age they are given autonomy to operate on their own but are still kept under the council's control through something highly valuable to them. They are always hired by the elites to do their dirty work, eliminating anyone who stood in their way. 

Boot is the most lethal member of the Umbra group since its inception. He is known for executing his jobs with precision, efficiency, and excellence. His reputation as a skilled assassin spread far and wide and the elites preferred to hire him than his other peers. He was highly requested for when there is a problem. His notable talent had earned him the council's trust and recognition. 

However, despite his firm loyalty to the council and the Umbra, Boot had always longed for freedom, and a chance to live a normal life away from the council's clutches. Time was running out for him because according to the conduct of The Celestial Council, any Umbra member who has attained the age of 45 must be retired and eliminated (put down like a dog). Now he has limited time to map out a plan to get out of Umbra safely and start a new life.

Meanwhile, in the heart of Chicago, Boot finds himself embroiled in a situation that requires his attention. His employer had contacted him 48 hours prior, hiring him to take down a drug cartel known as the Lakeshore Pushers. His employer, a very powerful politician who has business attachments with the Cartel, discovered that the leader has not been honest with him in their business dealings so he decided to bring down the Cartel ring and also to get his hands on their ledger that has all the records of their resources so to acquire it for himself. 

After accepting the job, he started to eliminate them one by one from the lowest rank. First, he would send a letter to his victims, featuring his *"boot print image"* and the seal of The Celestial Council. Most of them were not aware of what the letter signified until they were brutally executed by him. Boot continued eliminating the members of the Lakeshore Pushers Cartel group until he got to the leader and the accountant. 

A couple of days had passed since he discovered that the accountant and the leader would be meeting by nightfall. Boot guessed that the leader wants to make sure the ledger doesn't fall into the wrong hands. Going with his instinct and intelligence, he dispatched his letters to both of them at dusk. Predicting that they will both panic and change the location of their meeting. So he followed every one of their moves to the new location.

Boot made sure to get to the new location before they did, which is an old abandoned cathedral. Waiting for them patiently, they arrived. The leader of the Cartel, Ivan came with backup while the accountant Carlos came alone afraid for his life. 

*"Look I don't know what is going on or who you have pissed off, I am fucking done being your accountant"* Carlos said, handing over the ledger to Ivan. 

*"You are not done until I say so"* Ivan said after he aggressively collected the ledger from Carlos. 

*"Everything is in order. For Christ's sake man I have a family I have to get to" * Carlos said. 

*"And you think the bogeyman will not find you? You are going nowhere you cunt"*. 

As Ivan was checking the ledger to make sure everything was in order, Boot was staring at them high up behind a  statue close to a light panel controller. After accessing how many men Ivan brought with him, he switched off the light panel and everywhere went dark. The only source of light was his skull mask which was glowing. One by one he took down all Ivan's men in a savage and precise way. 

**"Come out!"** Ivan yelled as he held out his gun. 

Meanwhile, Carlos shields himself with Ivan's body as they continue to look around for the skull face that was attacking them. Boot moved quietly back to the light panel, switched it back on, and immediately Ivan saw his form, he began to shoot aimlessly in fear. 

Boot hid behind the  statue again waiting for Ivan to run out of bullets. Not long his patience paid off and Ivan ran out of bullets. As he was trying to reload again, Boot makes use of the opportunity by throwing his pocket knife at Ivan. The knife plunged into the side of his neck, Boot never misses his target. 

Ivan involuntarily drops the gun, and with his hands makes a grabbing gesture at his throat. Panicking, he forcefully removes the knife leading to a splatter of blood, and makes attempts to stop the blood loss but unfortunately, he begins to choke on his blood making hoarse hysterical sounds. Landing on the floor with his knees bent and maintaining a Superman landing pose, Boot brings two more pocket knives out of his jacket and throws them swiftly and efficiently. One of the knives pierce straight in between Ivan's eyes and the other went straight into his chest cavity. With a gulping and spitting sound, Ivan dropped flat dead on the floor lifeless. 

Witnessing this brutal death, Carlos closes his eyes and scrunch up his nose, afraid for his life while he awaits a quick death. 

With a hoarse and dark voice with a Russian accent, Boot asked, *"Give me a good reason why I should spare your life"* 

*"I will help manage your funds, if you have one, or w-wait, wait! I will do anything you want me to do. Please don't kill me, my children. Dios"* Carlos said. 

*"When I need you, you will receive a letter from me, be prepared. Speak about this to anyone and I will come for you and your family. Now go!"*

With those cold words lingering in his ears, Carlos ran for his dear life, he didn't look back even after getting into a cab to take him home as he shivers all the way.
