SPECTRE announces release of the public beta version of their platform.  SPECTRE is a SPECulative Tokenized tRading Exchange whose mission is to remove financial fraud from retail trading.

# SPECTRE Community Update

As 2017 draws to a close, we are pleased to announce our early, public beta on time, as per our roadmap. The spectre.ai trading platform, as you recall, was in alpha mode for over 3 months with thousands of traders who tested it in a virtual environment. Now, as we enter beta, traders will be able to also take demo money trades on the platform with Ethereum Testnet integration (Ropsten) as an extra option on top of the existing option of a virtual account with virtual ETH. This means they will be able to see when their trades are actually mined on the blockchain and the subsequent outcome (win or loss) with credit or debit of funds from their wallets!

Although the Spectre.ai beta is now live and can be accessed on [www.spectre.ai](https://www.spectre.ai/), you will only be able to test it with actual trades on late Monday night GMT (1st, Jan 2018) onward, as the FX markets are currently closed on the weekend and will remain closed for New Year’s day holiday.

Please note, as with any beta, bugs will surface and we will quash them over the coming 3 months ahead of our planned full-commercial-live launch in March end 2018. We look forward to your feedback as it will help us improve the platform.

**What is in this beta:**

* Trading improvements over alpha
* Security upgrades
* Trade using the Ethereum blockchain (Testnet) via MetaMask
* Trade using the Ethereum blockchain (Testnet) with your on-site private-escrow

Please note that although the option to trade directly via MetaMask is a completely decentralized method to interact with Spectre.ai, there might be traders that would choose to trade via making a deposit to the on-site private escrow account where their funds are 100% safe and Spectre.ai has no access to, as by doing so:
* They will not need to have/use MetaMask
* There will be less chances that the trade will not happen for unexpected reasons (for example failed transaction due to not sufficient funds in the account to cover for the gas cost of the transaction)
* They will not pay the gas cost for the trade

**What is not in this beta but will be for live:**
* Real money trading using Ethereum wallets (onsite or offsite)
* All security upgrades
* UI upgrades
* U-Token privilege unlocks
