- **New Feature: Alchemy System**
- You can now enhance item stats via the [Alchemy System](https://ethgardlegends.com/alchemy).
- Choose out of 3 options:
- **Add Additional Stat** – Grants a new base or extra stat.
- **Reroll Single Stat** – Swap an existing stat (e.g., Strength → Agility).
- **Enhance Stat Bonus** – Increase the effectiveness of an existing stat (e.g., 0% → 60%).
- Requires a new reagent: **Ethereal Essence**
- Forgeable with **10 Ethershards**
- Fully tradeable on the marketplace
- All options currently have equal cost: **1 Essence = 1 Try**

- **Item Power Display**
- Items now display a **Power Score** in the bottom-right corner of their tooltip.
- Calculated by summing all stat bonuses, normalizing against the theoretical maximum for that item, and applying a rarity-based multiplier.
- Makes it significantly easier to compare items.

- **New Currencies: Influence & Reach**
- **Influence**: Earned as the inverse of burned Ethershards.
- _Example_: Forge 10 Essences with 100 Ethershards → You gain **100 Influence**
- **Reach**: Earned as the inverse of burned Crowns, divided by 100.
- _Example_: Upgrade a Hero for 1500 Crowns → You gain **150 Reach**
- Neither currency exists onchain yet - they are calculated dynamically based on in-game burn amounts.
- Designed as future governance metrics:
- **Influence** reflects time and asset investment
- **Reach** reflects time and economic contribution

- **New Starter Chests**
- Introduced complete 14-piece Hero item sets tailored to three stat variants: **Strength**, **Agility**, and **Intelligence**.
- Each chest contains:
- 1x Two-Handed Weapon
- 1x One-Handed Weapon
- 1x Shield
- 1x Item for every inventory slot (except skin)
- Weapon types vary depending on the stat variant.
- Follows the same rarity chances as Battle Chests.
- Available in the Shop for **8000 Credits**.
- Ideal for new players

- **Epic Core**, **Legendary Core**, and **Ethereal Essence** aren't soulbound anymore. They're now fully tradeable on the marketplace.

## **Bug Fixes**
- Resolved an issue in **Showdown Mode** where players were being matched with significantly underpowered opponents under rare conditions.
- Equipment changes now properly reset when switching heroes or leaving the Hero page, fixing lingering or unsaved loadouts.
- Disabled equipment saving for **Basic Heroes** and added an explanatory notice.
- Basic Heroes do not exist onchain and cannot be equipped with onchain items.
